I’ve played a multitude of people at MKII. I’ve proven myself many times. I do understand that people think they are really good sometimes, then go somewhere with a high-level scene and get owned. This is not the case for MKII. Rex, may in fact, be very good at MKII. It will be fun to get some games in with him if I go to the tournament. Chaz shouldn’t be so judgmental and say those rude things though, especially since he has only seen me play one game. A game I don’t even play much. I would also like to get some games in on GG with you, whenever I get a chance with 19 credit hours of school and work.

I sincerely doubt that your skills at other games are a step up. It breaks down like this. My buddy Tony who stopped playing the game can actually do the moves if told how to do certain combos. For example, when he played, he didn’t ever play Mags. He saw me do hypergrab tempest once (big deal, I know) and wanted to try it. I told him how to and he was able to perform that combo the second try. You however would not be able to do that.
It all comes down to innate skill. Some people have it, others don’t. You don’t, it’s that simple.
Actually, I could do the combos if you told me. You haven’t said about how to do anything in specific though. Like I said, you can play me if you want. Allow me to cut and paste a sample from the MKII thread from Shoryuken frequents.

What MvC2 combo would you like me to do? Adrian and Chris saw me do Storm’s launcher in to a lightning storm combo. You’re wrong Chaz. We’re going to plan out a day and do this.

Cable, you should really play Tre, Tommy, the Team Scandalous crew, or the GG players from Columbia if you want an accurate gauge of your skill level in that game.

Truly, that shit doesn’t happen nearly enough, although I can understand if Tre doesn’t want that many people stinking up the apartment every weekend. 
I would love to play Chaz (or any other interested local players) in Alpha 2, 3S, or ST, not because I think I’ll be able to win or anything, just as a way to get back to form.
The only issue with a Game Night is trying to get Tre’s attention. (Not sure if he still reads this or not–granted I could simply call him.) And then see if he’s not ridiculously busy such that it’d be impossible. Because while I could hold it at my place, Tre’s involvement is pretty much a requirement since he owns every fighting game pretty much in existence, and the sticks to go with them.
See, Rex, we don’t need a tournament to get the scene going again, just a couple of minor flame wars and shit kicks right back into gear.

Made the money from the trip back in Money matches this past weekend(adrian you would have loved it…when all else failed, out came Bh/Doom/Cyke…won for free against this dudes mags, then ghetto on the rise is watching(having already lost a mm) and declares he wants a go at the demon…lets just say it wasnt a good idea, Bh had a nigga bouncin in the club!!! ‘’
Hes actualy realy good when used wise…lp ice tower is the shit against air dashers, and cyke sets the infinite up perfect, awsome normals, cool air combo(i made it, pretty sure i have never seen it anywhere else) which is lp, lk, lp slowly(very slow) then wait like a half second and dash into an INSTANT lp,lk,lp,lk…does good damage, builds good meter. The guys like the energizer bunny. Cant wait to go head to head with yours.

Sorry though, that combo is old school. I first saw it back in Joplin when Dark Phoenix used it, I believe you were there. Remember? It was when you were supposed to beat me 1st round per the brackets? But they had to change the brackets when I beat you like a red headed stepchild…

It’s because two years ago (or when ever that game first came out) they got Reload in because we asked them to. We specifically said to get Reload, keep MvC2 and keep CvS2, and if they really want to make us happy, then also get 3S and another MvC2. Now, at the time CvS2’s cabinet was FUCKED ALL TO HELL. So no one played it, we tried to get them to fix it they never did. So when Reload came in they decided to axe CvS2 because no one played it, and put Reload in that cabinet. Well, guess what, no one played that broken shit either. Then they took Reload out, under the pretense that they’d rebuild the cabinet since it was so fucked up. About three or four months went by we asked about it and they said they were probably going to junk the cabinet and we’ll never see Reload again. We were like :wtf: .
Then a few months after even that, we noticed the cabinet was still sitting in the back room, so asked about it again. They were like :looney:. And I was like :wtf: :annoy:.
Now, TWO YEARS later, they randomly show up with this fucking game in a completely brand new rebuilt cabinet that seems very nice (that’s the good news). The Bad news is that it’s two fucking years and Two fucking versions of GGXX too late, and no one wants to play Reload especially with the pimpness that is Slash and now Accent Core.
But the other good news, is that the price of the game is the same as Marvel, so no crazy prices to play it…
I’m half tempted to tell them to move MvC2 into that cabinet since it works better… the only problem there is for MvC2 the sticks are far too close together.
