I was standing outside my apartment smoking, when this dude in a Quiksilver courier uniform comes up and places this large (2’x 1 1/2’) envelope against my door. I say,“What’s that?” He replied that this was a copy of the Olathe News that someone had called and complained about not receiving.
I tell the man that I don’t receive the paper, and I look at the address abd sure as fuck, it hasd my address on it.
He walked off and I remained perplexed.
I went inside and opened the package hoping for a mystery of sorts, say something along the lines of an article about something that I had done but hadn’t gotten caught for possibly with a note threatening blackmail.
However there was no note, and no articles of interest.
At this juncture I would say the most logical explanation would be that a retarded neighbor gave the wrong address. However, why would they send it by courier? Makes no sense, but likely innocous.
I find it kinda odd that I have had a lot of “wrong number” situations occur lately:
-somebody left a message on my phone giving out an insurance quote for a '99 Grand Am. $300 for six months… wish mine was that cheap.
-somebody else left a message wanting to know more info about “Pam’s” birthday party.
-somebody called me at 3am a week ago breathing heavily… wanting me to come over and hang out. When the guy found out he was talking to another guy, he freaked out and started haphazardly apologizing. I told him I didn’t swing his way, but that I knew somebody who did… (jk jk, please don’t smite me)
Apparently LS is pissed off about something, because everything outside is getting beasted on.
I would be scared if Adrian had control over the weather. I would have to have Juggernaut strength/durability and tele-everything just so that it would be fair.

It works, but it’s too damn small. Plus, it has those convex buttons that nobody likes. It would take them a week to get a new cab for it, but Josh (aka Frog aka the boss) is a little frugal when it comes to things like that.
O haha, I ment if there were any tournements in Kansas City. I would rather play at Trey’s place if we were to drive 2 hour to some random place and play them for 5 mins and they all leave.
I am always down for some Marvel (1). I’ve really been dying for a tournament (but preferrably with more than just St Joe and Us). However, I refuse to enter a tournament with shitty cabinet/sticks (3). And we’ve been bitten more than once by a columbia tournament thus I did assume you knew the answer to that question. I’d rather travel all the way to St Louis than go to Columbia for a Marvel Tournament. And #2 doesn’t apply when it’s a fairly close tournament like Columbia or Omaha. St Louis, I’d be willing to drive, but that’s about as far away as I’d be willing to actually drive to.
And Krush, no offense, but you don’t play Mavel enough to really be a reliable source for whether or not the cabinet is in working order. Simple direction and button testing isn’t enough to determine if Marvel is working.
Alan, no, no Tournaments in KC are planned. Reason: No one would show. It’d be me, you, and Chaz. Maybe one or two from St Joe. You see, PowerPlay is full of fuck-ups and GG is gone, likely to never return. They won’t be getting in any other games, and lately it’s 50/50 chance on Marvel even being turned on because of Power Supply or Monitor issues. Fortunately they have at least gotten the sticks and buttons working 99.9% of the time. the other 0.1% they can swap them out and get them going pretty quickly. So with no other games than Marvel we won’t have any pulling power for a tournament. And with our Marvel scene being so non-existant even it would suck to have a tournament in.
I was actually going to mention that, I don’t have any trouble with the sticks but I am a scrub and if up/back, fierce and Commando are all that works on a Marvel cab I probably wouldn’t notice. You might get the verdict from STL as I think they’re going to be down for our shindig for ST, 3S and GG anyway. No one in Columbia knows how to play, the Marvel players all moved/quit.
That’s cool then, we can all just go to Trey’s place and play if it’s cool with him. The thing that gets me with buttons is that sometimes the buttons aren’t sync and even if you push them at the same time, they don’t react at the same time.
