Chachi, i really dunno if i want to go or not. I haven’t played 2d fighting games for awhile. But you never know i might just change my mind in a week or so.

I have no plans to. (This aside from the fact that I didn’t know there even was a thing in Columbia.)
There’s a local tourney going on here the same weekend, but it’s primarily Tekken and 3S. If it gets enough support, it’ll become a monthly thing, which hopefully will give CPR to the local fighting game scene.
Plus free money is always good.

i’ve been playing marvel for 6 or 7 years and the craziest thing i’ve ever seen(in mvc2) happend tonight… i was playing cory, he had sabertooth… i was going to throw him and he did a tech hit… no big deal right? well he was starting to do his super(not sure which one) and you could see the animation of it, and he got a tech hit out of it! we had to take a moment to digest what happend afterwards… i wish i had that recorded because it was pyscho…
Yeah, that tournament will be fairly small for the first event, but hopefully it’ll grow.
Hah, yeah, it’s free money if you’re any good at 3S. Since that seems to be the primary game here (that and Marvel) then you’re basically getting paid to come out and play. I’ll have no qualms about sitting down and learning a few things about more advanced 3S play. I’ve wanted to play it for a while, just haven’t been out to play anyone good.
Although, I promise that you’ll see some of the most sickening Tekken. We’re no slouches at our 3D.
Someone teach me not to suck at Guilty Gear. If I could learn one fighter more fluently, that’s the one I want to play. Hell, I want to play a few. hah.
Ah, don’t worry. I’ll find a way to lose in 3S. I get too predictable in close situations.
As for getting better in Guilty Gear, you could try talking to kcfantasyboi, Treybonew, or Lyquid. I only know some basic shit with Faust and Sol, so I can only get you so far.
If you want to get really good, head over to Columbia and dedicate yourself to the teachings of 722, and maybe AKA if he decides to come over from St. Louis.
Aaron from STL, yeah I saw him play at the N-Cubed tournament in Omaha, NE back in Nov. '05 I believe it was. Sickest shit ever. He made Millia look broke. I would have entered guilty there, but I Sol ditto’d some goth kid in casuals before the tourney and got beat so bad I just couldn’t even consider it after that. :lol:

I played against Nathan (Rude) a while back at 3S and CvS2, and I was told that the rest of CoMo was much better than he was, which was scary, because Nathan was good from what I remember.
Yeah, I’ll make an effort to play more people when I get home. Hopefully the Cirque tournies will bring all the scenes a bit closer together.
ExMortis and I are thinking about coming to this monthly for Guilty Gear. If there ends up not being enough people to have a tourney for it maybe just some casual.
If you guys show up, I’ll sign up for GG. I know at least a couple other guys that might sign up. At least if the tourney happens, everyone has a good chance of making top eight.
