Thanks alot for the crits and props, guys. I know that ryu’s all sortsa fucked up. I kinda wanted him to have like a gouki sorta posture, like a semi-gou zankuu. it’s hard making hands turn and shift. I gotta do more studies.

Why is it that most people on deviant art tend to draw the Udon or EGM cover style versions of SF characters? I was suprised, I thought there would be much more people doing Akiman and Kinu style.

Sick stuff. :tup: What program do you use? Mind giving me some pointers on coloring? I’m starting out myself ATM and any help would well…help. 
I’m mainly starting on paper for now but I want to get some of that coloring in Corel Painter down before I attempt to use the pc more. Mostly trying to achieve the 2nd pic from the bottom of the Okami one. The blending of those colors for example what brush did you use? I have noticed that photoshop is easier with that sort of thing but I want to have painter as my main program since that’s what most people use now.

You seem a little too infatuated with Capcom’s way of doing things though. I can’t see much of ‘your own’ in these pics, if you know what I mean.
^ I gotta say, if it was yugioh or pokemon and he got the art style down I’d be like wtf man where’s your touch. But honestly that Capcom style is hard to do, and if you look at Deviantart, I’ve only seen maybe 1-2 other ppl go for the Capcom approach.
Also, kando does “his” version of Capcom work. He isnt EXACTLY like the Capcom artists. Getting that down is a rarity. I’d hate it if he changed his style up and made it look more like everyone else’s style.
This is not a jab at his skill (which he obviously has lots of) but rather his direction.
If he went to Capcom, do you think they would want to see what he can bring to their characters or how well he emulates their artists?
