Hmm, it seems RoTD will run in later versions just not .64 Are the multiple versions the game?

The decrypted version is the only one that works for me in .64. I have both rotd.zip and rotdn.zip.

What happens to you guys when the other player records, do you still desync?

To fast-forward, F11 to see your framerate, F10 to overdrive/fast-forward it (f11 not needed actually). Don’t know of a way to rewind.
Don’t hit F9 to increase frameskip, too much of that may cause the replay to desync (f8 will decrease fskip if you hit it accidentally).

Here’s some actual replays–a 3 way of Me, Deadlyrave-Neo and Sinister Cyclops in XMCOTA = Best 2 out of 3 then switch.

Starts off Sinister (Sentinel P1) vs Neo (Colossus P2)
Next it’s Me (Psylocke P1) vs Neo (Colossus P2), and Psylocke catches fire for the next 19~ matches.

There’s a round that starts off slow (Neo’s Storm walking back for several seconds), dunno if he was distracted, ghosting or what happened there.
Storm (me) vs Colossus (Neo) also has some strangeness (my super won’t come out and when it finally does, I stood there surprised he was still frozen for that long).

Pls, which version of mame are these for? I’ve tried 0.64 but they dont sync correctly? 0.67 perhaps?

I dunno what’s up with the replays…this shouldn’t make a difference, but the Mame.64 I used was the one from Darktemplarz.com. Maybe try installing that into a different directory and try from there?
If they don’t work and you still wanna see XMCOTA match vids, have you seen the ones I posted on CV.com?

Thanks JM, I’ll give that version a try. I already have those other matches, for a long time , they’re fantastic, especialy the Sent vs Sent ones, thats why I’m so eager to see these ;). Thanks again for all your help :tup:

EDIT: Got them working now. Some great maches. Beside the generic rushdown charas like Wolvie, Psy etc… COTA has some of the most interesting area cntrol characters. I especialy love the IceMan and Sent matches. Great stuff :tup:

Recommended, but obviously not as good as matches you’d find offline, for obvious reasons. Rogueyoshi is a player that I’ve been helping to “train” so to speak…he’s improved alot.

Edit: I CAN"T believe I messed up the ending to that Kim max combo near the end…pretty embarassing.

Crap…you know what…that recording looks desynced now, after rewatching it. It desyncs during the first match…I’m really pissed off now, I guess this recording is useless.

Once you watch it, the lag tactics will become evident. Plenty of max combos on his ass. Hopefully this recording isn’t desynced like the previous.

Edit: Also ignore anything my O Yashiro is doing first round…I was shocked at this guy’s noobness. He’s the typical guy who mashers during your combos (which means you have to make sure never to mistime anything, which is hard online). He rolls around in circles, and jumps for no reason…ugh.

I don’t know how this will work, but I think it would be fun if some of us record inputs of our games and hosted them here. I’d like to see some rbff and sf2 inputs because I dont play them a lot and I like to watch them. Also everyone can see what other games they don’t play are like online. Might even have some bgs you want to put up here. Another ggs to lucky in VS. Hope to have some more ggs with you again in a3 to host.
