Yeah my computer lagged… that’s because the lag on Kaillera is horrible. It’s complete shit.
My computer ain’t garbage. It’s good enough to run any other emulator online with little to no lag except Kaillera.
ZBattle and Poporu work like a charm online.
So tell me, why is it that Kaillera lags like shit, yet ZBattle and Poporu don’t?
First time I ever played SI and Warzard, thanks to the CPS3 emulator. Maybe they’ll be able to have those for MAME +++ 90210 and give Kaillera a shot in the somewhere.

First time I ever seen the Kaillera community throwing out links and being happy and helpful because of the CPS3 preview. I sure as hell wouldn’t have been able to Google anything for at least another few days.

The reason has nothing to do with your comp, but the fact that zbattle and poporu are peer to peer while Kaillera is not. It’s not Mame’s fault.

u know…if they get cps3 working, which they are almost done with apart from some colors trouble…naomi wont be that far behind. I mean whats the difference? SH-2 vs SH-4 and <60mhz vs 200mhz cpu?
I hope when they get marvel online they’ll have some sort of cheat or something for the characters, there only so much a person can do with stidoom/cable =s
whats the best place for street fighter 2 comp on kaillera? are zbattle or any other online emulators more popular for sf2 than kaillera?
i’ve been on kaillera on and off for a few days and haven’t seen much st action. xvsf, mvc1, a3 seem to get alot of play time on the anti3d server. Wheres the ST hotness @?
Games like SS2 and ST don’t really play all that well online. 3 good hits can end a round in those games, and the timing on a lot of things is very strict compared to newer games so you can’t really afford to be lagging.
It’s generally hard to find a game of anything that isn’t MvC, A3 or KoF though.

I agree. There are a lot of random users on the server that come back from time to time and just keep whining about everything under the sun.
If you manage to win a few rounds, they complain. If you manage to lose a few rounds, they comlpain. There are some people that you really can’t win with, and it gets on my nerves when they leave the game acting like a screaming woman from Jerry Springer and then they take it to the partyline, and you see people arguing and flooding the chats with insults.
Some people are jokes. Like, there’s a guy around GodWeapon called Dr. NO that just says annoying things no matter what’s happening in the game. That’s fine. It’s the people that make an effort to be actively whiny that get on my nerves.
Sometimes, I wish you could just turn off the chat completely, hide usernames and everything, and not have to put up with that nonsense.
As soon as GGPO gets more games in it, Kaillera is as good as dead for online fighters.
What games/boards are supported on GGPO? I know know it’s using FinalBurn (which I’ve never used) so is there a chance in the future for GGPO to be used for 3S or other emulators? (NullDC).

I think GGPO will probably kill off the Kaillera fighting game community, which will very likely jump ship to GGPO.
Of course, there may be some die-hards that refuse to jump ship for whatever reason (I can imagine that some people enjoy the laggier play, for example), but in the end I think GGPO is just going to dominate in that aspect.
So how long before they start putting other games? I don’t really feel interested in SFA2.
Well, I’d say that GGPO is still in it’s beta stages if you haven’t tried it already. There are some hiccups and inconsistent lag, and the sound is off, so they’re probably try to get that going, then we’d see more games.
doesnot nulldc have its own experimental netplay system? or is that GGPO?
I tried GGPO and I ended up going back to Kaillera because I couldn’t start any games with the people that were there. When they challenge you, what if you choose a game that’s not on their ROM list? That was probably the problem that I had.
