Justin Wong should not have been on Team USA

“in the end it doesn’t really matter if you drop combos because if your mindgames are strong, you’ll still get more openings”

That’s kind of exactly what he said.

Which reminds me i meant to ask did any of the Euro players challenge you to any MM mainly Ryan Hart because that boy was stunned.

Don’t worry, I know who you are. Going 4-1 against Team Europe doesn’t make what you said any less dumb.

they did, Evans wanted to play me but it was such a busy weekend… i played a gig for the attendees at CC afterparty and then got super fucked up… i played Ryan hart afterwards and he blasted me 3-0. Laugh did the same.I’d like to play them when I have more energy next time haha

He beat Kazunoko. What other player would you have had on the team. I seriously want to know(I really do haha)

How about you start getting results in tournaments before you open your mouth. Playing online in the comfort of your own home is different from playing at a major in a different country with hundreds of people watching you. It is easy to say that if you were there then your execution would not fail, but I’m sure that you have no where near as much experience in tournament as Justin. Hell you probably don’t even have as much tournament experience as me, so before you criticize a top player. Remember why they are top players.

And before anyone says that I am dick riding I am not. I’m usually the last person that would say “So and so player is the freaking best, and if I played them I’d just give them the win cause I have no chance”. I’m just stating facts.

I feel that he meant that it’s not a big deal if you drop some combos.

Not, “Fuck combos, I got mind games!”

Right

It’s important to finish your combos, but it’s far from the most important thing

Any scrub can hit Viper combos, but i always find it amusing when i play one of those OMG WTF vipers who i just beat by poking / air throwing them to death

You need farrrrrrr more than fancy combos… You need mindgames, you need knowledge, and you need reactions. Those are far more important than combos. Combos are just a supplement to otherwise effective play. no matter how you slice it, if you don’t have one or all of those 3, you won’t get the opportunity to hit combos anyways. So when I see people drop combos, it’s disappointg, but the best players are always the one who make reads that experienced players know are =OOO worthy. justin is one of those ppl.

again - if you were actually half decent and have been raped millions of times by justin wong like i was at CC last year you wouldn’t have made this post

Justin is human. He drops combos at intense moments. Don’t remember people calling Daigo shitty/non top player when he drops srk FADC U1.

Dude even at the highest levels, people drop combos all the time. Did you not see Shungoku Neurosis completely miss his ultra after RF whiffed the tiger uppercut, during Japan 1 vs Elive. And those are top Japanese players.

I wonder if Fivec just types whatever the fuck he wants or if hes just a really elaborate troll, as every thread hes ever made is just to get dem views and replies.

Don’t forget likes.

All of those stating the obvious threads are annoying. I am mad anyone actually likes his post when all he does is fish for likes/respect.

I don’t see why I wouldn’t. I know Justin has more raw fighting game talent than maybe anyone else in the US, which makes it even more disappointing when he misses shit like he’s been missing the last couple majors. For like the fourth time in this thread, my opinion is not based on one or two misses this past weekend. It’s based mostly on the shit I saw watching all of his matches at SBV, and to a lesser extent Devastation, rearing its ugly head again at CC. Every top player is going to miss combos, but not to the extent that Justin has been recently.

I actually do believe that Justin could be a serious contender for first place in international competitions if he dedicated himself to AE, but he doesn’t. That’s frustrating. But whatever. Everything I say is invalid because I’m not a top player. Awesome.

lol.

Was Justin supposed to say he wasn’t confident against Kazunoko? How is that supposed to inspire his team? If you’re a captain and you have no confidence in yourself or even in your team, you shouldn’t even be on the team.

Even though Justin’s performance in the tournament may not have been as good as you may have liked, there are other benefits to having him on the team. The fact that he inspires confidence in his teammates for one. The fact is Wolfkrone/Mike Ross/Floe/Filipino Champ were confident in having Justin on their team and if he wasn’t on the team, they would have performed worse because they wouldn’t have had as much confidence in any other team captain.

  1. u say “justin shouldn’t be on the team, he drops combos”
  2. I say “that’s hardly important, he’s good because of other things”
  3. u say “you’re dumb jozhear”
  4. I say “allow me to explain”
  5. U ignore everything i say and just repeat yourself
  6. Everything you say is invalid cause you’re a complete retard

Whatever you say. You can sit here and bitch about some drama in the scene, or you can do what the fg community promotes the most about it’s games. Play. No one truly cares if Justin under preformed becuase at that point we’d all be some nerd kids talking shit that we can’t back up. If you care so much about 5v5s, lvl up so you can show justin what it means to be a good player. Until then, please shut the fuck up.

Directed at Fivec.

You posting this makes me happy Fivec, you want to know why? Because I know you’ll never have any clue what you are talking about! *

*Also you probably suck at SF too!

You wouldn’t have had to explain yourself if you hadn’t dropped that gem of a line about how dropping combos doesn’t matter. And you wonder why I feel the need to repeat myself.

I liked your post unironically.
