Ok well Im here is the what I wrote back to her, I know people havent exaclty been nice to her but lets be honest, she was asking for it. What did she expect? Plus her attittude is really irritating, she acts like being good in SF is something you can do in 4 months or less, shes basically binging down SF to the same elvel of skill required to play some of the games shes used to being “pro” at. Plus she has directly attacked teh community after the backlash instead of explaining herself or aknowledging her mistake
Anyway, Im just posting this in case she tries to use parts of it out of context or something, and remember that she was the one that emailed me.
*"LMAO indeed…
Why the hell do you assume I’m a SRK guy :S Because I know who Gootecks is? Ha! Look I don’t have any problem with you wanting to be good at SF, but you are a lousy representation of female gamers, and let?s be honest here, you know you are riding this “Ima chick” thing and trying to get noticed because you have breasts. If I went and uploaded a video of me playing like that even if I named it something like “check out my new TV” I would get flamed.
You want to be the next big SF player? Great! Go for it, seriously, but do it just like everybody else, do what you can to attend tournaments learn how to play the game and get some respect from the community first, THEN start asking for sponsors. You know the amount of good players out there that have to work full time or attend college and have a part time job? Hell Iyo (I hope you know who he is) hasn?t been able to play nearly as much as he would like since the nationals because work is interfering with his practice schedule, and he?s a FREAKING NATIONAL CHAMPION, and you want sponsors so you can sit in your ass all day hoping that whoever is teaching you the ropes knows a magic little secret for you to become the next Alex Valle?
And your excuses are the biggest “LMAO” worthy part of this whole thing. I?m not a tournament SF player, hell I don?t even live in the US and I have done everything in my power to get my hands on a stick and guess what I did it I have contacts that can put a custom full Sanwa stick in the US for $180 bucks, that?s 5 more dollars than the TE stick, you know how I did that? I talked to people in the community and asked for realistic help, I didn?t go and ask people to get me a sweet deal on a stick or even hand me one because why would they?
The fact that you played a lot of GH is not an excuse for you to suck at SF, the fact that you don?t have a stick is not an excuse for sucking either because I play on a 360 pad, and I can do some pretty nasty stuff, and you don?t even know me and look at you running your mouth saying you could beat me -_- please. You can?t even FADC. I could do Shoruyken->FADC->Ultra after playing SFIV for 2 days, and not all day like you probably had, way before I had a stick anywhere near me, and I don?t even play Ryu.
Look at you, you have every single game that has sold over 2 million copies as a game you play, and even in your area of ?expertise?, GH, you are nowhere near the best players. You are the embodiment of everything I fear for in SF, since eventually SF will start being included in big tournaments and most organizations don?t have a clue about the actual SF community, someone like you is going to go up to one of the managers and say ?hey look, I?m a SF pro player, I know Gootecks and have X amount of BPs? and chances are you are going to get picked up over someone that deserves it way much more. If that happens SF could be put in the same group of games as the popular but not really competitive titles and that would not be the truth.
But I don?t even know why I?m writing these because everyone, you and myself included, know that you don?t give a crap whether or not you are good at SF you just want enough attention to get picked up by a organization like PMS or Pink Revolution.
Stop acting like you are tough and can handle your own saying f##k this f##k that because YOU are the new kid, you are the one that needs to prove herself before we take you seriously not the other way around. ?I didn?t block on purpose? Give me a break, what?s that even supposed to mean? -_- And for the love of God stop using your GH experience as pro gaming background, nobody takes GH seriously, it?s a hella fun game but it?s not competitive, every time a tournament includes it, its ridiculed by ALL serious communities not just fighting game players.
I think that all that time playing CoD, Need for Speed, GH and other half-assed competitive games have obscured your perception of what real competition is. You can?t just jump from one game to another and be good, especially when you are months behind in terms of skills and YEARS and YEARS behind in terms of experience.
And gain respect because you play more than one game? What the fuck do you think this is? The punk scene where if you release an acoustic song you get ?respect? because you showed another side of yourself? Most fighting game players play several different games, including several very different fighting games, and do you think that Mike Ross jumped to the SF scene saying YO IM HERE TO BE THE BEST PLAYER IN DA WORLD I USED TO ROCK SHIT IN MvC SO I WILL PWN YOU IN SFIV? And he had a lot more credibility than you and he still had to work his way to where he is now.
You want to be recognized then go to tournaments and stop talking crap in blogs and forums, stop expecting people will give a fuck about you because you played GH and have ?dedication?. Prove yourself and earn what you want and come back to earth and realize that what you want and are saying you will do is not something that people can take seriously because there are thousands of player with as much dedication as you and are much more experienced and talented and haven?t been able to win a major tournament.
And the fighting game community is not the same as Xbox Live, if you are so butthurt about the comments we (well they) post then wait till someone gets up on your face and taunts you. Ask your sensei if he thinks people will go easy on you and not try to psych you out by talking crap during games. These guys are not e-thugs.
On a lighter note, if you really are serious about learning to play SF (don?t say being the best in SF just say that you want to learn how to play) then good for you, and if you ever do become good enough to win anything worth mentioning you can say how you overcame all the haters and nay-sayers (myself included). And don?t be stubborn, Gootecks will only help you so far, eventually you will need help from the SRK members because playing against the best is the only way you can get to their level, if they hate you so much in the SRK boards see what you can do to change that, going to a tournament and being realistic is a good start and stop dissing them in your blog or whatever you use to talk to your ?fans?. If your serious then there is a veeeery tough road ahead, the bigger your ego the harder and longer it is, so you better adopt a more humble attitude, because quite frankly you have no idea in what you are getting in and even if you think you can take the heat you will never know until pressure builds up.
If this mail only made you rage even more then too bad, and I hope it doesn?t forces you to reply because I won?t be near a computer for a couple of days, and honestly I?m done with this and so should you."*
I guess this topic (StarSlay3r) is done with. Sorry if this thread was derailed of its purpose I just thought it would be the right place to dicuss everything that was talked about during the show. If you still want to comment go ahead its not like I can stop you
I guess that message could be used to any new player that tries to act like we should give a fuck about them because they used to be pro at this game or know this guy. Perfect Legend is the best example of how good palyers from otehr games should approach SFIV, and apparently hes pretty good at it too.
