i use the dash method, and basically like all things you wanna try and link it as best you can
and by that i mean try and find that sweet spot right where your cl. mk ends and hit your dash so you can get a nice clean ultra input, hitting all three punches as you land
the dash method is easier than jump cancelling in 2012 because of the dive kick adjustments. i like buffering dash myself, never had issues with it once i got it down.
cst.MK, walk forward, U1 is very hard to do on some characters outside of the corner iirc
also if you dont think yang has bullshit then you are doing something wrong (or you’re fighting a grappler, in which case ggs.) don’t really see how he’s stale either, at least compared to bison - yang has way more options to think about.
do u guys have some crossup divekick setups midscreen ? i would love to know them …
here’s one i use : cr.lp > st.lp > sweep > dash >jump neutral >lk divekick
works on shotos cammy as far as i know …and the timing of the divekick is strict … nothing comes free…
I’ve been using Yang again lately from my main Bison, recently Cammy and troll Blanka. I’ve just noticed there’s close to no information on 2012 Yang compared to other characters. I wanna try and prove that he’s not as bad as people think, but I dunno. Look at Gen until recently lol.
Ive been saying Gen isn’t bad since his AE buffs, he has the stigma from Super that he takes too much effort to win, which really isn’t the case with the adjustments from AE hes become alot easier, as of now hes one of the best characters with his improvements in 2012 as well as nerfs to the other chars.
My fellow Yang players, finally the day has come. I just hope he practices AE for this and has a pocket Chun for Giefs. We might see a Yang get top 8 finally.
And from what I’ve heard here he says he’s entering AE as well!
I think the combo of Yang/Chun is a very effective team. People in America are unfamiliar with Yang because he’s so rare. Nemo will be using him for most match-ups I assume and he can bring Chun out for Gief, Hawk, Honda.
Yeah Chun is a great alt no matter how underpowered she is. She also helps in a few match-ups where Yang can’t keep up in footsies. The Gief match-up is obviously the most important to have an alt for.
I’ve pretty much dropped Rose, the character I originally picked against Gief, for Chun-li because she’s just so much better at zoning Gief.
