I was trying to find out the use of st.mp and it does pretty good at setting up a frame trap or pushing you just out of throw range but Zangief is a different story. his lp spd was just too much.
Been playing AE at the arcade a few times a week for the last 4-5 weeks but just tried Yang for the first time today. I’m a Rufus player and I think I’m coming over to the dark side. It’s hard not to when their movesets are so damned similar yet Yang is so much better. Only thing I’ll miss is the instant dive kick.
Close strong is a good normal for tick throws, particularly command throws. It is +4 on block, +6 on hit. If you did an EX command grab off of that, you’d have a 3f gap if you were blocked, or a 1f gap if you hit. For regular command grab, you’ve a 4f gap on hit.

Makoto has a lot of karakasu set-ups. Are you referring to a meaty karakasu? A block string ended with a kara kara? I’m not sure which you’re referring to.

Im gonna use Yang for sure in AE and backup is Fei. I played a bit of Yang in 3rd strike and i love his character design. I was reading his pro’s and con’s on event hubs and from what i see i believe i can manage with him. Haven’t played AE in any arcades because i dont know none in New York so im gonna be at a disadvantage…oh well.

As far as a command throw after a blockstring, there’s a topic for that which I made. Just end your blockstring in that normal and throw.
For the meaty, just time it. Hard to figure out perfectly-meaty set-ups without practice mode.
