Nothing yet. I assume we’re only going to learn more about it once they reveal the details of the Ultra system in this game.
Sure you can ultra only once, maybe twice during a match but that’s huge, free damage you’re dealing if your opponent makes the mistake of throwing one and you only need to land one ultra a round to completely turn the tide, or even get the win. Besides that, there’s also dive kicks, which might as well be dashes with how quick they can get you in on opponents as well as slides. Sliding under a projectile is fine, right? So why is dashing under one broken? How is it really any different?
It’s almost as if they’re putting in ways for people to deal with fireballs beyond jumping and FADC…
This right here? This statement? It’s the entire goal of Street Fighter.
Assuming that her dash does go under fireballs, we still don’t know everything about the dash yet. It may suffer similar to Fei Long, making her a sitting duck after the dash at close range, as someone had also mentioned earlier in the thread. The dash may have weaknesses just as well as the possible strenght of going underneath fireballs.
That’s what I thought. I still can’t help but think the dash will only go under high tigers
She’ll probabaly have horrid recovery or something after the dash. Who knows , but see if it does still end up being like that. Their is gonna be something bad about it.
Would it not suck that if you dash through fireballs she could be ultra’d on reaction… hahahah Sounds like something capcom would do. :looney:
Dash under fireballs is just a slightly better alternative to jump over fireballs. At the range where it would be dangerous to throw one, she can counter through fireballs, too.
does her cartwheel kick go through projectiles? I remember it colliding with one I believe, but I don’t remember what happened.
the startup on her projectile destroys them. i don’t know if pinwheel does.

Ya know, I really want to get hands on Juri and test out her fireball cancel. I want to know how strict the timing is, when can I let go of the button and release the fireball at the first possible frame? This is important, because all three of the fireballs start with the same kick. So you start the fireball, the opponent predicts which one you are going to do, and from there, if they guess right, you can cancel and attempt to punish what they did. I also want to know what priority the fireballs have in relation to other fireballs and if the kick only cancel out mid fireballs.

Juri seems like an interesting character so far , she’s unique enough to give the cast some extra flavor instead of the shoto fuckfest , I’ll give her a shot when SSF4 hits . I doubt that she’ll click with me though , probably gonna stay with Seth and Rog
storing fireballs sounds like it could be used to setup big combos
So any actual developments for Juri lately?
News has been, and probably will be stagnant until the next Fight Club, and even then, the focus will be on all the new faces.
