Also, it should still be possible to do something like cr.MK, pinwheel xx FADC, cs.LP, cr.HP xx pinwheel, at least. I wonder how much damage that would do.
You and your fse engine…-sigh- i might switch over…big might…it’s the only way i’ll really reap the benefits of her buffs. I mean in fse she’s a whole nother character.
Plus ppl i was thinking the nerf happened because of how much crazy burst damage she could get. Let me elaborate.
Let’s say you have four meters and get a lucky and get a cr.hp
cr.hp>hk pin>fadc>cr.hp>fadc>cr.hp>hk pinwheel.
You’re looking at around over 420-440 damage blowing your meter. Plus you have forever to make the next hit after an fadc and you push your opponent pretty much all the way into the corner…why did they have to get rid of it for fuck sake! ;.;
if you FADC the 1st hit of LK senpusha you would get more damage plus less scaling … just a thought …
and i dont see what the whole fuss is about … yeah big damage and all with cr.HP … and technicly oni can do that with slash FADC … but juri is not that type of character … shes not fricken makoto ! i think when designing her they wanted people to chip away at the enemy … little by little … makes sense to me …
you can still do cr.MP … just the fact that the link is now possible opens up new doors … you can literally end a match with that little bit of extra damage that u might need … senpusha FADC cr.MP xx HK senpusha … i think thats good enough … (thinking of the dumb situations where only MK senpusha would link on sakura)
plus you can freestyle with ease now without risking missing the old 1 framer … senpusha FADC st.LK , st.LP cr.MP HK senpusha …

1st hit HK senpusha FADC is 50
so yes … LK senpusha FADC would give you more damage

granted … if you FADC the 1st hit the scaling would be the same …
but since only the first hit of LK senpusha gives you the + 6 advantage whereas the HK senpusha would give you the +6 on both 1st and second … i assumed in my mind that the FADC was from the 2nd hit … i should have been more clear …
in any case … like ive mentioned … since senpusha FADC causes forced stand … you can still do cl.LP into cr.HP into another senpusha giving u good damage … especially since the FADC puts u in most cases at point blank from the opponent …
hell i think thats acctually easier … (technicly u have a 3 frame window to land the cl.LP … and plinking cr.HP is easier than getting it off of a 1 frame FADC … )
… think of a senario vs a standing seth with and LK fuhajin stored …

Hits of a move arent scaled in this game, pinwheel for example doesnt scale 2/4 times, its one move so the second hit of Hk pinwheel brings it to 80 damage i think (50 + 30) with you still being at +6.
Another thing Juri can still do even at +6 after FADC is 1 frame link into standing close fierce (you forced stand on pinwheel so it will work). But to get decent damage off that you need meter for Expinwheel, which then turns the process into a 3 bar combo and you dont even get full hits on expinwheel…lame.
hmm… thanks for pointing that out … i acctually didnt know that… (always assumed more hits = more scaling regardless of the move count) … that acctually makes HK senpusha FADC a nicer option ( but a pain in the ass to time consistently if you ask me … still theoreticly better)
as for the cl.HP into EX senpusha after FADC … its gonna be hard and not as rewarding man … save your meter … do it my way its more efficient u get all the hits too … cl.LP, cr.HP, HK or EX senpusha is the way to go …

Ah, I see. Then it appears they specifically want her to have to use 3 bars for U2. There’s also the possibility of them reverting if they decide 3 bars isn’t viable.

I’m tired of hearing FSE to be quite honest. It was already really good. I don’t want a better FSE. I want a better Juri. She needs to be better as a whole, not just her special eye.
Oh yipee! Juri has even better comeback potential. How about better winning potential overall? The whole cast is getting buffed with some really good stuff, and Juri is getting a better ultra. The FADC is the best thing they gave her and now it’s not what it was.
My optimism is over. 2012: Very few matches got easier. Most got harder.
I’m not sure some of you realize how huge the FA buff actually is.
I just counted the number of times my level 1 focus attack whiffed on a crouching opponent in some matches. In a round I literally swing the air at least 4 or 5 times and get punished because of it. In 2012, half of those missed FA would give me a counter hit crumple into full combo. That’s missed opportunities after missed opportunities to make a comeback just because of a crappy hitbox.
It’s all the little details like that make a big difference in the outcome of matches.
But I’m still kinda shocked they didn’t even try to improve her wake up which is her biggest weakness.
Yeah most characters just got de-buffed or went back to a more similar version of Super. But besides that I don’t think our matchups are really all that worse.
Akuma matchup got easier. Makoto got nerfed. Adon got easier. Fei and the Twins got nerfed. So who is getting too strong for Juri again? Dan and Hakan? lol.
Cody, Blanka, DeeJay, Guy, Gouken, Gen, T. Hawk, Hakan, Evil Ryu, Oni, Dan, Rufus <— All characters who are getting solid buffs. The “whole” cast was an obvious exaggeration.
I’ve been to many of the characters boards, and no, everyone is not singing the same song. Only the people who want an OP, easy to use character. That’s like saying the Akuma board wanted buffs because 5 out of 50 people were asking for insane buffs when most said leave him alone.
yeah with bison, those “buffs” were more like “oh shit sorry dic, here’s your old stuff back”
They gave us almost the rest of his old stand heavy kick damage (90) but we get to keep the 110 hitbox as well so im happy about that.
The so called stun buff wasn’t a buff at all. He was stealth nerfed from super to AE. His old stun was 150 on sk, they reduced it to 100 so he gets super stun back
the only buff is making FADC easier
Like Ranma said, lot of changes are just returning what they took away. Or making things easier input or execution wise.
Blanka had a lot more problems as a character than Juri from the beginning. Juri wasn’t getting punished for successfully hitting his opponents.
DJ barely got anything, and yes they are singing the same song: Changing Dee Jay for AE ver. 2012
Gouken has been a shitty character in the past 3 iterations (which Juri isn’t) which is why buffs were warranted. And he only really got 2 notable buffs in the 3 frame super and a cancellable far MP.
Oni got hitbox fixes and 50 more health
I’m not going to bother going over the rest because the point is this: yes, some characters got notable changes but you seem to forget the place they had within the cast before any of this took place. Are you really asking why Juri didn’t get as many buffs as Dan? Would you give up Juri’s spot tiers wise, for THawk’s, just so you can benefit from a longer list of relevant buffs? She already is a solid character. Don’t take everything in a vacuum.
