Juri in v2012

lol.Those are pretty much 6-4 matchups for Juri except maybe Cody who is obviously getting really strong. Probably more close to 5-5. And Dee Jay I’m not sure. I admit I have some trouble against him.

Those characters aren’t a serious problem for Juri. No matter what buffs they get, they’re not going to make our life harder. I highly doubt their buffs will turn the tables and make the matchups become 5-5 or 4-6. When your character dies to strong zoning and rushdown, it dies to zoning and rushdown. No matter how great and strong the character is.

Yeah at least one of my two characters is getting buffs that are relevant and make her better… You could main Rose and realize that Capcom hates you or you devise secret conspiracy theories about Rose cursing Ono in a past life or something and this is his revenge… I mained Juri at first in Super the moved towards Rose at the end of Super, stuck with Rose in AE even though she was worse, but I’m going back to Juri fulltime in 2012 because one she’s more fun but two, Capcom is going to make Rose Dan Tier and is making Dan mid tier…

Alright so for FSE, you have your opponent in the corner on a techable knockdown. You throw an ex fireball from about midscreen. You dash forward and hit a button to start a string. Will this be a true block string in 2012? Cuz it’s dumb that I can get mashed out for doing just that now.

You guys look at that as a “damage ultra”. It’s utility!!! You want a better juri? Use fucking fse!

Please anyone please suggest to Capcom that makes the start up of crMP of Juri is at least 5. It can make her AA better:)

Useless buff. Her anti-airing is already excellent. Even U2 working as anti-air would be useless.

I would prefer they buff her wake up. Or even normals like close st.hk. I would LOVE to see close st.hk’s second hit become cancelable and/or be +2 on hit and -3 on block. Something like that…

Buff Cr.MP is not only help Juri AA faster but also easier to link from st.LK :slight_smile:

You know what i think is wierd, so juri can super cancel far standing mp into super. I ask myself, why can’t she also special cancel the move? It’s +2 if you hit it so i dunno i feel that move is unfinished and can be improved on just a bit to make it her most useful poke. Apologies to far standing mk, i still love you baby <3
I dunno if it’s too late to suggest that to capcom, it would make her overall footies game a bit more useful in the long run.

st.lk>st.mp is a 3 frame link now. Shes got an easy mode now so no need to make another variation of the same combo. Besides cr.mp is fine the way it is.

Since we’re currently talking about normals, Itd be cool if her far hk had similar properties to Codys foward hk. All I know is cody can link his Ex CU after it. So Juri should be able to do:
Far hk>ex pinwheel
Far hk>ex fireballs

FSE
Far hk>st.mp/st.mk reset etc etc.

Make far hk into U2/specials like lk pinwheel or stores not possible to make this shit less broken lol

This can be reliable, but all I really want is an invincible 5 FRAME Ex pinwheel. YEA 5 frames to make it less susceptible to trading with normals/specials. I cant be the only one who wants this.

Good suggestion, but i doubt capcom will change it. Another move that could steal far standing mk thunder.
I mean cody’s crack kick is just too good, but that’s cody’s design to get in that ass. Juri is a situational character which requires a player to adjust accordingly to what’s going on every second of the match.

My issue is I usually use this combo: cr.lk>st.lk>cr.mp. I tried using st.mp but in many distances the far st.mp is applied instead of close st.mp.o_O
And I like cr.mp because it’s like Ibuki’s cr.MP with a long active frame where you can option select in zoning:)

Be happy she got some pretty nice changes unlike Rose who got crap buffs (Not even buffs.) glitch fixes…

Anyways we still have the last rundown of 2012 and it seems like capcom is focusing on Juri’s normals at this point.

About Juri’s new ex dive kick properties. It would be easier to hit from all the way across the screen now right since you can make it work like HK dive kick?

Cs.mp isn’t that meaty of a move to throw out there, it has some really bad recover if whiffed so throw it out with caution. FS. Mp comes out cause she is too far away to do the cs. mp, it’s strange i know but it has to do with being pushed away after each hit.

All right they’re putting up changes for other characters now, time to see if Juri gets any changes in the next few days.

Well, despite the cl.MP buff, I’m hoping for more frame advantage buffs on her normals, along with her pinwheel FADC frame advantage to be rebuffed. I’d also like for U2 to have better hitboxes, for FSE to link certain normals properly, and to give EX Pinwheel the buff it got in FSE to normal Juri. I don’t know why the hell Capcom decided to make Juri’s reversal better during an ultra where she’s not supposed to be using it. Whats next? Ryu’s tatsu does 500 damage, is full screen, unblockable, and gives him a full super meter, but only during the animation of Metsu Shoryuken?

im confused, are there no more updates now? The last locktest was just tweaking viper and touch ups on a few characters… nothing for juri?!

I think something will happen soon. I mean they gotta show us the finalized patch notes anyway.

Better fucking hitboxes. I got the game yesterday and I’ve been in so many WTF moments. How do you guys do it.

And im taking a guess and saying most people want back the alpha test changes lol.

Anything new here? I’m not even sure what the current Juri state is, can anyone link me to the most recent possible patchnotes? Or is the huge list thats given around everywhere the current version?
