It literally travels twice the distance of a normal dash at the same speed. It’s going to be pretty easy for Juri to hunt down people who run away now. :slight_smile:

Akuma’s teleport is going to be useless vs FSE because 1 dash = a dead Akuma lol. Same with Vega back flipping. He won’t be able to get away that easily now. Poor Dhalsim is not going to like it either lmao.

that dash in fse covers distance, from what i can see. It will stop people from running away from her. I may try this if i can fadc activate and still have enough frame advantage to poke out a continuation of a combo.

PPS to ppl who I kept saying x combo is 100% and all that jazz.
An example of this is a combo such as cr.mk>lk fireball stock>u2
U2 is knocked down to 70% damage sooooo you’ll only get 431.
J.Hk>cr.HP>hk pinwheel>fadc>u2
by the time you activate u2 in that combo you’re looking around 60% damage from u2. Still that combo ultra on a person with 100% hp will take more than half damage. In 2012, you’re looking around 540, at least. The same combo i mentioned above with fireball stock does around 523-525. You’d get more bang for your buck if you do a two hit pinwheel and fadc. If you’re ballsy and looking to style and burn hella meter, you’ll do fadc after an ex pinwheel.

I don’t think pinwheel FADC is really worth it during FSE. The damage scaling seems pretty intense. Am I willing to waste 2 bars + precious FSE time for only 50-100 more damage when I can just reset and maybe get 240 instead? I don’t think so (unless it’s going to kill them)… but that’s just me. I prefer resetting my strings during FSE.

My recommendation: Play 3rd Strike Online ed. :slight_smile: I’ve been playing Makoto a little bit in it, it really improves your execution, st.HP xx SA2 is at least as fast as Juri’s FADC Ultra2, and you have no shortcuts. I bet by the time I land Makoto’s 100% stuns in 3SO, my SSF4 execution will have gone up a notch too. (offtopic: As long as I can get over the stupidness of 3SO shortcuts)

The biggest value of the FADC change during FSE will probably be resets. You can do such dirty things off of +frames.

Yep…BTW@Lion Jack. If I hit you with any of cody’s BnB’s (they all do 300 plus damage) i’ll stun juri with one more hit. So I do not have to fish for counter his normals are amazing. I main juri but in the last two iterations of SF Cody is stronger in general. JF / NF into Cr. F into criminal Upper/Bingo does what like 330 damage and insane stun. If cody’s lands NJF on anyone that move has like more stun than Geif’s Headbut. That’s like the most stunning normal in the game. Unless Juri EX teleprorts the fuck out after a combo like that when cody follow’s up with meaty cody will get the stun if you guess wrong.

That dash looks amazing. And I’m happy with both her ultra buffs. I’m excited!

Damn, I like that dash. It goes almost fullscreen. So many things you could try with that. f.throw, activate, dash -> pressure. Opponent whiffs highly unsafe shit fullscreen: Activate > dash > punish (kind of makoto style, if you’ve seen vryu’s vids).

I use pinwheels to catch escape attempts. If I dash up I’ll be able to catch jump back attempts I think.

Its one of Lk pinwheels best usages, if you legitly catch some of them jumping back, it juggles them and you can at most get 1 hit of a exfireball as a hit confirm for a tiny bit of extra damage, helps at times though. Shame Juri doesnt have alot of JP2 moves, just 1 exfireball, 3rd hit of expinwheel and ascending Ultra 2.

This is actually a great thing to go for a reset with the pinwheel fadc than trying for a second mixup after a knockdown. after pinwheel u can go for overhead reset, blockstring (cr.lk, st.mp, overhead) to overhead setup, or jus go for a throw and go for a knockdown set-up. There are more things that can be figured out with this making it harder for the opponent to reversal out of. The thing is juri already builds up alot of meter and now that she can build up during fse is a big plus. so i will gladly sacrifice 2 bars for a better mixup situation.

Also if only they give juri’s overhead a faster startup it would make fse a whole lot better making juri have a better high/low mixup

Ive been figuring out some new combos in FSE using the 2012 Pinwheel FADC, basically with 2 bars, Juri can score round 400 damage with pinwheel FADC on quite alot of different series of moves after an overhead(midscreen), theres no point in posting specific ones because everything would be distance related and whether or not you get 2 hits off a st.hk or 2 hits off a hk pinwheel before FADC.

With a fireball stored and use of the corner, for 2 bars she can easily score round 450 damage with optional expinwheel xx St.Hp xx Ex fireball ender (1 extra meter for expin, another for exfireball so 3 and 4 bars respectively).

The best move to start with after Hk pinwheel FADC (from alot of trial and error) is dependant on how many moves preceded your FADC, if it was 6 moves, you do St.mp which is a 2 frame link (FUCKING FSE BUGS), then st.hk and then cr.hp (character dependant, but should work on 80% of the case standing, pinwheel forces stand so its a good staple move).

If it was 7 moves, you start with st.lk and go through each normal she has.

In which case, if you did 6 moves or less before FADC, you do:

St.mp xx St.Hk xx Cr.Hp xx Hk pinwheel (FSE pinwheel FADC followup)

If you did 7 or more moves before the FADC you do something like:

St.lk xx St/Cr.lp xx Cr.Mp xx Far Mk xx Far Hk xx Far Hp xx Hk pinwheel (Character specific FSE followup to Pinwheel FADC)**

Heres an example combo you can do midscreen in FSE in 2012 on highly punishable moves (such as whiffed ultras)*, its the most practical and damaging combo i could come up with:

Close Hk xx Cr.Hp xx Hk pinwheel(2 hits) FADC Close Mp xx Close Hk xx Cr.Hp xx Hk pinwheel (495dmg for 2bars midscreen)

You can do a 3 bar punish by replacing Hk pinwheel with Ex pinwheel which is 511 dmg, in the corner a St.Hp juggle followup is 541 dmg, for 4 bars you can do an exfireball at the end for 551 damage.
