Because lk will whiff because of the invincibility and start up. We use the properties of the move against them like DJ’s up kicks. LK version might be good for anti air…not good for ground though.

All Yun’s i played use EX outright. THey had the meter, so why not guarentee it.

I found a couple of interesting tidbits in her changes, but something feels off, like her normals have different hitboxes/frame values, but theres no new BnB combos yet i seem to hit the hitconfirms, 1 frame links and counterhit combos easier, how does that make any sence?

Ultimately i dont think she has changed much…she might get a few matchups abit easier, but the presence of S tier characters make this game overall harder. I literally think theres no reason why someone shouldnt have a Yun, Fei or Yang in their back pocket, thats their new bullshit factor.

The changes were pretty much on the money, the forward dash isnt any faster from what i tested, its probably the same…The divekicks also look about the same, talk about placebo effect. Until theres proof otherwise i cant really say for sure that they are different so ill take it off the OP.

The only real thing I noticed is the Walk Speed. I don’t use the juggling Fuhajin Store 'cause I’d rather have fireballs for pressure – but that’s just me. Also, I thought someone said you could Store -> ex.Pinwheel? Where the heck is that? Am I doing it wrong? >.>

Also, to the person asking about Yun HK.DP, it’s his invincible counter -_-; He travels friggin’ full screen for free =( The only real way we can pressure Yun on wakeup is by throwing a meaty fireball at him.

Well, one way it is possible: They could add a cancellable frame specifically for the BnBs (like, make st.LK cancellable 1 frame early to cr.MP/MK to make the BnB easier). But that’s pretty far fetched.

Could be just placebo, and you’ve just improved your reliability with the links. I know I did, I was surprised when, after playing MvC3 and BB:CS2 for a while, I returned to Juri in the training room and suddenly started hitting cr.LK,cl.LK,cr.MP almost 100% :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess it should be easy to try though, since the game has SSF4 and SSF4AE modes, so you can hop between them and test how the links feel in both.

I don’t know if it’s been discussed, but I remember people saying that Fireball Store juggle into Ultra 2 only worked on larger characters and so far it works on everyone for me. I just landed it on Yun, Yang, Gen, Fuerte, Oni, and Ryu. Anyone unable to land it on someone?

How hard is it to land from a c.Forward xx Store? And also, can you use the Kickx3 button or do you have to negative edge it? >.>

Pretty easy, that’s my main way of hitting it. And if you already have a Fuhajin stored you can even go cr.MK -> Release -> cr.MK -> Store -> Ultra 2 in the corner if you want some time to confirm. You have to negative edge it, but it’s not hard.

I kinda understand where your coming from. It feels like her links are a bit easier to link, but I’m not sure if it’s an actual change or my execution as gotten better. I’ve also been able to land cr.lk > st.lk > cr.MP xx m.pinwheel very consistently and will start using this as my bnb for now.

The parry change is VERY important for matchups vs. other projectile characters.

Walk speed is the next most important.

After 3 hours of playing twin edition I think I might trade this game in. The logic of the game in out of balance. They nerfed Honda because he was too good. Then they give me this? Yun/yang are bad… There’s no answer for their rush down. You can’t zone. You can’t out poke. You can’t rush them down. There’s just no use playing that match.

Switch your main to Yun. Problem solved.

This, unfortunately this is the state of the game, i feel the same way.

Id be okay if people banned Yun from tournament, i dont even like the game with him in it. I thought id be hype for AE, but Yun out right ruins it, I played 2 hours of online and i lost to all Yun’s i played, badly lost, no wait i was about to win one of them, i had practically full life, ate a divekick into Genei Jin, and ate a reset off of that and lost…wow.

Not even that. The balance of the logic is off. Honda for an example was really bad for juri because the logic was off. Why woul honda not jump in? Whats the risk? He doesn’t eat enough damage to be afraid of it. But he does so much damage that if he gets in its all over.

Yun, its worse. He doesn’t have health but theres little juri can do vs yun to close the match out. Shes not a closer. But yun, can essentially destroy you on ONE KD. So why would he not use ex shoulder, ex lunge, and dive kick to get in.little risk for the gretest o the rewards.

This game is no longer a test of my skill. Its a test of patience. How long until I SNAP the game in half.

How bad are we talking here? Estimated 7-3 like Honda? What about vs Yang?
