The Jurassic Park franchise always had a bit of realism to it though. Like, it’s perfectly believable that if scientists could reverse engineer a dinosaur today, they would do it. Create a park full of dinos and a super dino? Maybe not so much. Then there’s the themes of the danger of technology and the force of nature in Crichton’s books that are present as well.
Isla Nublar was the island they used for the original park. In Jurassic World, it is the same island. My only guess is that they rounded up the dinos and either killed them or used them for the current park in Jurassic World.
I’m hype for this movie. Going in with no expectations and not trying to think too much. Next to dragons I love me some dinos. Can’t wait to seeing them dinos with today’s tech + starlord
The only way I can rationalize a splicing of 2 dangerous dinosaurs is for profit. Would you go to a dinosaur park without seeing anything exciting? If they had all herbivores I bet sales would go down. They need that thrill element. That and like many big companies the higher ups know nothing of what it’s really like actually working on the front lines.
Working at Disneyland I know this all too well. May not have dangerous animals here but rides can hurt you if you’re careless.
Is it just me but the first impression I got from Chris Pratt’s character (Owen) is that he reminds me of Chris Redfield for some reason…
I don’t think we should expect much from this movie story wise. If anything, they probably delivered a burlap sack full of cash to Steven Spielberg and asked him if he would be an executive producer(as a bare minimum) just so they could associate his name once again with arguably his greatest work(Yeah, fuck E.T!)…
Looking at the trailer again and thinking about it, I wonder if all the dinos in Jurassic World are genetically modified to recognize humans and NOT attack them under any circumstances. This would explain Pratt driving with raptors (lol), and having park goers ride in that bubble thing or kayak down a river with potentially territorial stegosauruses and other herbivores. Yet for some reason super dino doesn’t follow this programming and is able to seemingly CLIMB out of its enclosure (lol).
