Julia Chang Combo Thread

What ive been wondering is if the loop is actually worth is as a punisher, since you can get more damage off:

fwd+mp-lp, fwd+mp mk xx lk roll, cr.hp xx HP tiger strike tag cancel.

So i guess the loop would be to get more damage off light attacks only rather than punishing whiffed shoryus, unless there’s something im missing.

The loop would be worth it more for the meter and pushing the opponent to the corner.

Why Tag Cancel off a Tiger Strike instead of a DP? Just curious

Trying out some of the stuff here (mainly stuff that will put me on the road to learning the loop like charge cancelling to PC), Julia is shaping up to be the most high execution character I’ve used in this game so far (if not the highest in general 0_0). But that doesn’t deter me. Anyway, I’d like to know, when Julia does Mountain Crusher into wind roll, exactly how much advantage does she have on hit? I know she can link into a jab and even a fierce, but I’d just like a general idea of what I can do before my opponent can even attempt to press buttons. Also I wanna know if doing the wind roll to cr.HP is a 1-framer or not.

i got a new bnb:
cr.lp,cr.lp,cr.hp cadc pc,cr.lkxxtiger strike = 257 damage

IF at max distance you can connect a cr.mk making it 270 something.

Is it possible to connect cr.hp after pc? i cant make it connect from the range my bnb does.

i’m sorta in the same position, just practiced like 8 hours straight on her loop stuff… and if this stuff makes it into “viable” territory for tournament play then she’s gotta be the highest execution char in the game. i thought cammy was up there, but I’m able to cl.hk > j.CS very easily now after a couple days. julia’s stuff feels like it’ll take months to be able to do consistently. I didn’t work on plinking this time around though so idk.

is anyone doing these consistently yet?

I don’t think I’ll ever understand why SF players are so hell-bent on using move names. WTF is wrong with qcb+P and dp+K, it’s universal, everybody is going to understand, and you don’t get miscommunications like this.

The j.mk to lp.>lp.>mp/mk>special move is such a great mind game. Julia is nuts.

yes i have watched that. but hes never at the range where i end up after 2 cr.lp’s. it gets blocked but i dont think it hits at 1 first active frame. making it impossible from a hitconfirm.

Yeah, that is when the combo uses chain c.l>c.mk>c.hp xx ex.Tigerstrike cadc pc to get close again.

that costs meter and i noticed that the combo doesnt work on crouching opponents so f dat.

c.hp forces standing on hit so it should work just fine.

I’m switching to julia for this combo. That has to be the dopest ism i’ve seen in this game.

This combo is 3 bars, but its very damaging. My gem unit allows me to spend meter & gain it back quickly. I LOVE this combo.

Ok, how do u do the CADC into PC?

After let’s say cr.hp, do I CADC an EX PC while still holding MP, dash forward and let go of MP to get PC to connect?
