The worst part is you can’t even leave your pool area or you will get DQ’d. So they expect you to sit and vegetate until you get called. That is not good for me. I simply can not adjust to that type of waiting. I suppose that technically makes me a worse player than those who can. I will never have any success at Evo unless i find a way to keep sharp while waiting 50 minutes for the pool judge to call my name.

Because you have 100 players and a ton of spectators huddled around the judge for the entire time, making it very difficult to do anything useful, even watch.

They should tape off the play area so that only players can be within a certain distance from the play area rather than having it as a free for all.

A lot of the Japanese probably weren’t ready for a tournament like this. 2000+ nonstop screaming voices and bunch of people in odd costumes covered in lights and stuff like that. It’s still shocking how few of them are winning though

pretty much agreed with that…although, sagat in vanilla was pretty easy for the top japanese akumas…this time around, the top character is rufus and he is Akuma’s kryptonite in my opinion…see hsien chang losing to paul wall’s rufus. LOL. just amazing.
and i’m extremely salty about floE beating Tokido. it’s just not right man!! :crybaby:
oh well, we still have infiltration, but to be honest, i don’t think he has a chance against gamerbee.

I am shocked and disappointed Tokido didn’t do as well as he is one of the best Akuma currently. But like all chars and players sometimes you just have bad matchups and lose. Oh well. It’ll be interesting to see who and what chars are in finals.

And yes I agree that lardass is too easy and cheesey of a char. Win without him then I’d have more respect for the player etc. Win with him and it’s just good tactic not necessarily a good player … emmm hmmm … JWong and Rico. *cough
