JoystickVault.com FAQ and INFO HERE ** JOIN TODAY **

Theres a weird error with the way it loads the homepage link on a profile up… I was wandering around and http://www.joystickvault.com/member.php?uid=18 on axis’s profile, clicking his link gets weird. Try it and see.

I wish there was a way to browse by comments. It can be difficult to tell if or where a comment is.

The email got put into junk, got it sorted now thanks. Man I’m silly for not looking there and forgetting about the email registration in the 1st place…

I can’t upload more than one photo at a time to an album. Am I doing something wrong?

sure you may

hmm thats odd. ill look into it sir

hmm it works for me, what exactly do you see?

Its because he left out the “http://” … The link in my profile works fine for example.

Ill look into that. Thats a great point.

Thanks for all the feedback & suggestions. Keep it coming!

I went to re-upload some pics so that I could just have 1 big album of my work (one shot of each stick) to make things simpler and when i deleted my old seperated albums leaving just the new consolidated one…I got removed from the members submissions list =(

also is there a way to decide which stick is the “cover” for your member submissions link?

Thanks again for the great site

oh and to the above…oops im dumb =P

w/e pic you want to show up in teh MS (member submissions) section:

upload ONE pic by its self
and be sure to pick MS when it asks you

let me know how that works

im still not showing up in the members section so i cant tell if it worked

taken care of now sir :3

thanks…again…
i wont screw it up again i promise (well ill try not to) :nunchuck:

I feel as though this rating system is flawed. I like too many sticks too much and I want to give them all 10s.

Then you know that there are plenty of sticks that are not that great but I’m not going to go handing out 3s.

Thats just mean.

its perfectly fine to give out 7s 8s and 9s

we should all use 10s sparingly
even 9 we should re consider

yea I agree…I think as it picks up steam it will kind of even itself out tho; when more and more people evalutate each stick 1 rating wont be 100% of the rating.

You know what’d be nice? Rather than a “rating” which is kind of arbitrary, you can have categories rated… Stick design, artwork or presentation, an overall, things like that maybe.

Color Coordination
Best Stick Material
Best Artwork
Best wiring
Best Functionality(multi system, etc)
Durability [coated with epoxy (sturdy) vs covered with Lexan (scratchy)]
Originality

it would be nice to browse category.
like Japanese style sticks, US sticks, HRAPs…

you can click on the keywords under the stick to see more like it. For example if your looking at a sanwa stick and you want to see more sanwa’s click on the “sanwa” keyword and more sticks “tagged” with that word will come up. You can also search.

TMO those rating categories are hot. If I can, I will add them at some point. its a bit more complicated but as soon as I get time ill look more into it and see what I can do.

Okay, so I’m a day late and an hour short on this, but I’m game.

Remember, there is no right or wrong way to make a custom stick. After all, it is personal preference.

As far as ‘ratings’, it should be on the overall craftsmanship. Artwork is definitely not going to work due to copyright issues; durability is gone because there is no way for us to physically test the durability of said stick(s); material… I think I’ll stop there. If I wanted to make my stick using a Nike show box, then dammit it shouldn’t matter!

I think the ‘rating system’ should be based on ingenuity and nothing more. They are all great stick, but we have to remember that they are custom built to meet personal preferences, and we must respect that. Just because someone wishes to use construction paper with drawings in crayon as their artwork, doesn’t meant that a photo shop image of Optimus Prime on high gloss photo paper is any better.

Anywho… maybe simplify it to a mere, “Like” or “Dislike”. What’s good? :lovin:
