Jojo’s is glamorous, but not gay. Actually throughout the 8 parts there’s been very few actually gay characters.
Everyone just wishes they could take a seat like Caesar.
The back and forth trash talking is amazing.
Jojo’s is like the Hawkeye Initiative in manga form. The whole Hawkeye initiative fan works were pointing out the ridiculous of females in comics by replacing them with Hawkeye, showing how awkward they are. But Araki doesn’t really care if they are a man or woman when he draws them, he just draws inspiration from model magazines and likes to draw what he sees in there. Even Jolyne (who is female for those who didn’t read it yet), is shown in the later parts of Stone Ocean with more muscle and looks less feminine. People asked him about that and Araki says that drawing men or women doesn’t matter but they should just focus on the character. Plus it’s called Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure for a reason, so need to sweat about goofy poses imo

the artists likes modeling and copied alot of male models for the posing, he even did a show for Gucci
that and it seems he liked to draw fabulous dudes in fantastical poses apparently, though to be completely honest i like the peoples art in the new video game far more than i like his.

And yeah Araki has based some of the poses off of female models, greek statues and things of that nature. Even the wardrobes and hairstyles are inspired from fashion magazines and shows. *
Ah. That makes sense. I’m just glad he hasn’t thought of rubbing nipples to build up Hamon to unleash some kind of attack. That would be so fierce.

It’s interesting to watch his art progression. Phantom Blood started off looking like any bog standard action manga, with questionable proportions. As time went by and he moved to different parts the stories got more bizarre and the characters got more and more stylized/stylish. It certainly makes his work distinct.

Caesar’s giving me more jokes than in the manga, despite him doing the same things. The music when he was wooing up the woman in the restaurant was sick. In fact, this anime’s OST’s real good, the music that was playing when Wham appeared was serious. LOL@Wham dancing around the Germans, then connecting and draining them. He’s sick.
One of my favourite things about Jojo’s that starting from this arc, (Part 1 has some elements of this) fights become back-and-forth battles of cunning, strategy and trickery. That’s not to say I dislike the standard beat-the-guy’s-face-in kind of fights from other series though.
This anime’s been consistently great (well, the source material for it was sick anyway) and I can’t get enough. And IMO, Jojo’s campiness is hilarious. There’s nothing quite like some 15ft vampiric dude built like a Mr.Universe champion striking a fashion model pose just before he bodies you.

Ah Joesph; always has a solution up his sleeve, no matter what the situation is. Those rings that he got implanted in him mean deep trouble for him, though. His fight against Wham was pretty great; and more is yet to come.
