it doesn’t combo; it’s just like using coin off of 6H. just a setup. I’ll keep looking. both Kira’s 2M is one of the normals you can really see that they made better.

Yeah, 14 words seems the same to me too. I’m not sure how much sped up MiH is, but his disc throw seems to be faster than I remember. His other moves/movements didn’t seem much different, but I might need a visual comparison in this case. Also, you can’t link 7 discs into each other any more (5 is the max before they knockdown), probably due to the new infinite preventions system, but he can juggle you with 6 of his Stand On 236A slashes now (was 5 in the last patch).

Also, they want to buff his 14 words/getting to C-Moon next patch? Wow. Hopefully they plan on buffing his Whitesnake Stand On moveset for that, it sure needs it.

I love getting C-Moon, but if they made getting C-Moon easier, then they would definitely have to nerf the fuck out of Made in Heaven.

1.5 bars for Diavolo’s burst doesn’t even bother him. They nerfed the “obvious” problem but he’s still god-tier broken.
Burst was always more of a novelty than a necessity, just sit on your meter and use it at the right time (opponent combos into GHA -> burst after superflash lololol)
Son J.M still best crossup in the history of ever, Epitaph still stupid, legit anti-airs stayed legit, throw damage is a huge buff, Soff 236x got buffed, jump back Son j.H beats everything etc. etc.
Instant overheads and the new combo options are kinda useless, damage is still fine meterless and you’d rather save it for bursts anyway.

To be fair, Sweep XX L Coin seems to be a stronger setup than Sweep, 6H XX L Coin by virtue of the opponent having less time to do anything on their wakeup before the coin drops on their head. It still probably gets beaten for free by Stylish Dodge, though.

it definitely is stronger, and you’re completely safe even if they do stylish move. since the guard gauge recovers more slowly and it takes up 1/3 instead of 1/4, it’s not so free. :wink:

Nope they are not, u are both neutral after the taunt, so u lose the advantage.
Patch is looking so great, Im impressed with CC2.

If you can cancel sweeps now, doesn’t that mean there’ll be new taunt combo infinites? like sweep to CFH with avdol in the video?

Some characters do different damage with their front throw versus back throw. Old Joseph does 110 with front, and 100 with back.

i noticed Kars’ 236ATK being faster, even tho it seems to bug out too easily when used on max range…

Even though the patch notes for 1.04 said they were going to address this, it seems to me like they already have in 1.03. The second time you try to do the taunt extender, the opponent seems to have extra invincibility frames. I’m trying it right now with Ultimate Kars, who has the easiest taunt combo in the world with his 236M PC Squirrel, Taunt, and the second taunt isn’t causing the second squirrel to combo despite the squirrel having a ton of active frames.

Yeah, there’s an IPS now. Infinites are just not possible atm.

about Kars, do you feel his 236H being faster but easily to bug out when used at max range? he doesn’t backstab so often…

Admittedly, I haven’t messed with Normal Kars yet. I’ll take a look at it in a bit, though.

A couple things to report, though:

  • I tried three of his taunts, but I couldn’t get a taunt combo working with Yoshikage Kira after Sweep XX L Coin PC Taunt. The explosion would happen but the opponent wouldn’t get hit by it for some reason.

  • Gyro now gets a meterless taunt combo thanks to his 2M sweep being special cancelable. 2LLLM XX 214L, Taunt, 5LMH XX 623H XX super is 350 for one meter. The weird thing is you now act later into the sing-song taunt, during the “lero lero lero” part, instead of right before that part. Also, if your taunt is too slow, the opponent will get hit by the cyclone portion of the move instead of the steel ball hitbox.

Everyone getting taunt combos without PC because of cancelable sweeps? Time to get back to the lab…
