For Old Joseph combos, I found a nice loop starting in stand off that that seems to give some good damage:

jH (optional) > LMH6M > HCF+S > Stand On > OTG HCF+H > PC > stand off > repeat

Cancelling from 6M into HCF+S has to be pretty quick or the HCF+S won’t combo, same for the stand on > OTG HCF+H after it. I got about 3 reps of this for about 520+ damage, dropped the last OTG which would have built back enough meter for one more PC.

Thanks tataki, so it’s basically what I understood the general counter moves in this game to be. I think why I initially asked was somebody commenting that Abdul’s srk in stand on was a Geese Counter, but when I tried it, it seemed more like a strike with armored startup that you can stand rush and combo off of, which sounds pretty useful for a SR move.

Maybe. If it isn’t - it will be gone in the next patch. I think the reason why the patch is coming out in October is just so they can “fix” the DLC characters if they have anything busted.

Nothing really busted about it, how he gets meaty damage more or less since he can’t rely on ABC-HHA to deal out quick, sufficient damage.

So far got Old Joseph’s alt and color, love his little mannerisms they gave him like the silly ass Hamon charge poses and how he reacts if you miss his GHA. Plus dat backwards Joseph run. Dude is a lot of fun and seems decently competitive to boot.

I hope they don’t ‘fix’ Old Joseph too bad; I think that he’s a good example of a character that actually makes throws threatening in a game where throws mostly only work against the overly cautious/respectful. May want to adjust his meter build a bit if his loops get a little TOO crazy for too little bar, but otherwise he seems quite fair to me. If anything, I think more characters in ASB should be tuned up to his level of bullshit, but I dunno if CC2 agrees with me.

Alright the most important question about Old Joseph; does he have Holy Shit! as a taunt?

Yeah, I agree that he’s not busted - I’m just saying that I think they released them pre-patch as a safety precaution if they turned out too good

Since they are going to keep putting out DLC, who do you all think be up after Vanilla Ice/Narciso/Boah?..I can see Deigo, Weather Report/Emporio,Yasuho/Other Part 8 character as obvious choices…

I was saving this for my CV :confused: I found a few other things with him as well though, so it’s all good.

They mentioned before that Baoh would be part of the “final” campaign, so unless there’s a surprise character tucked in there (and assuming characters only get released with new campaigns), it seems more likely he will the final DLC character. Unless they’ve since mentioned that they would do more DLC characters after Baoh and I missed that.

I feel like Baoh will be the last DLC for this version of the game. They’ve said that they want to keep this series going for as long as the Naruto games, so they’ll need to hold onto a few characters as an incentive to buy the new version.

I can only hope that Baoh says almost none of his own attack names, and relies almost entirely on the narrator or some other incredulous Speedwagon-like commentator to tell us what moves he’s doing. That way he’ll truly be faithful to the manga (and the amazing OAV…go watch the dub on YouTube sometime, you’ll DIE laughing).

Just got my copy of the game and so far I am liking it, digging PB (Pedo Bear) Dio but I don’t like Online.

And yeah, online isn’t that good. I finally wrangled together some Canadian folk and got a wired connection and it still lagged to all hell which made me sad. Or maybe my net just sucks, I dunno. All I know is that it’s depressing.

Since the narrator talks for Iggy in OMAE NO TSUGI NO SERIFU WA, I’d assume Baoh would be similar.

I managed to crack 600 damage with Old Joseph max meter combo thanks to that piece of knowledge:

(StandOff) s.LMH f+M XX hcf+S, StandON hcf+H(2 hit) [Puttsun SOff c.L s.LMH f+M XX hcf+S SOn hcf+H(2 hit)]x3 (604 damage, 4ish meters used)

If you instead start the combo with StandOn c.L s.LMH XX hcf+H(2 hit) Puttsun, you get 550 damage.

Interestingly enough, if you start with StandOn c.L s.LMH XX hcf+M~f+[mash S], dash dash hcf+H(2 hit) OTG, the whole combo ends up only doing 507 damage.

Finally, if you start with StandOn sweep, HCF+H(2 hit) Puttsun, it does 549.

Same here dude, my internet was wired and I still got crap. I played this Josuke player on Ranked Match and all of PB Dio’s attacks, or just EVERYTHING, was delayed like hell. I was pretty unhappy with that.
