I’ve changed my bnb with Avdol, because the old one doesn’t work consistently vs. at least Jotaro and Dio (for some reason they drop out after being hit by Red Bind instead of being crumpled) and it not working v. Dio basically means the end of me using it. lol.
The new one is easier anyways:

The Level 1 will NOT combo unless you whiff cancel the CFH because for whatever reason, the juggled character’s hitbox seems to get bigger while they are hit and Avdol is cursed with a terribad combo-only level 1.
the post j.a x 2 filler seems to work in all juggle situations for avdol (post shoryu > puttstun, post CFHVariation’s second explosion) but I need to like… make a list of all the characters I can juggle 5AB Red Bind on since that’s by far the preferred juggle.
Stand Off Avdol has the worst normals I have ever seen a ‘zoneing’ character have. Good lord. Sweep is about it for him footsie wise. 5C would be better if it didn’t randomly whiff through people’s heads. Stand On is only slightly better thanks to 5B. 5C is an amazing anti air, also.
I was wondering what would be the best BnB with Abdul just an hour or so ago. obviously HELL2U is great for combos and such, but I kept having trouble doing many good juggles after that; the whiff cancel CFHV must’ve been the thing I’ve been missing!
I wish CFHV placed the ankh even if it hit the opponent above the ground; from the correct distance you can get the 2 hits, but it’s so tiny that it’s hardly useful. I just want some relaunch stuff for abdul with CFHV!
Yeah, after playing my first matches with Avdol, I’m learning that CFHV is the truth. The ability to hold it and run in is insane, you get a full juggle if it hits, you can use it to end your block string, and if you want to be really annoying full screen, you can hold it and Stand On then throw a homing fire ball.
Herme’s stickers just give her damage buffs and make all her hits do… more. As far as I can tell. I don’t think there’s property changes, but someone will correct me if I’m wrong, hopefully.
Gostunv’s stream has some Rohan matches! I’m still convinced Rohan is one of the worst characters in the game (at least until I get my hands on the Fatty DLC, lol), but the player here is showing some good possibilities with him.
yep. since you’re doing more hits, you build a significantly larger amount of meter during combos as well. she can build back bars crazy fast with stickers on.
I kinda consider him a mid range pressure character personally, his zoning…so bad I don’t think he was made to zone whatsoever. Also, the ankh into floor explosion seems like a good meaty imo, idk if you’ve messed with it yet.
General reaction to this game? I know that the dev said, explicitly, that their intention never was to make a competitive game. Does it feel like a ‘real’ fighting game? Could it be played seriously?
Not really concerned with balance but it would be nice if there was a decent variety to viable character choice. Especially if Polnareff is top tier.
Seems competitive enough, as long as the community takes it seriously. Also regarding Polnareff he can do this bullshit, and his BnB with Puttsun cancel is very nice, he is a strong character:
So could someone tell me why this combo I have for part 4 josuke (i think that’s his name) is giving me different dmg numbers when I do it. The first time it was 636 the next 712 then back down to 636 then it randomly skyrocketed up to 792.

one thing you have to consider with using his level 2 in a combo, you need to subtract the amount of damage before the “healing” part to get the true value.
