JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle confirmed by Bandai-Namco

Joseph, Jotaro, Wham, Gyro and Josuke are the only characters with inputs released, and even then, Joseph has confirmed moves added after they gave out inputs (the ‘Your next line is…’). Heh, yea two Kira’s made sense to me given how much they ignored all his attacks from the final battle, now the DLC exclusive Kira feels like an “extra piece of meat” or a nice nod to early part 4 and not “THE definitive main villain”. Rumor is there’s an event on the 28th day before the game, PV6 is the 7th and the 21st we could see one last character reveal in Shonen jump. I’m personally still crossing my fingers for MY favorite JoJo villain Diego Brando. And at least 1 more female fighter would be nice IMO.

as Koichi’s burst stands, it’s really broken. unless there’s some way to interrupt him, (although I’m skeptical because against Jolyne he actually activates the move TWICE: one to get out of hitstun and a second time DURING his own burst) it’s really really dumb.

I figured other people noticed it too. when I saw it, all I could imagine was a persona player mashing B+D haha.

I can’t agree that the fact that he can do multiple bursts to himself is a bad thing because he can do more damage to himself; it’s still a really strong tool: we can see that Koichi is clearly in the air (being blasted back by his first burst) before activating his second, which grounds him immediately. based on this, Koichi should literally be able to do 24 consecutive bursts to himself if he has full meter (it costing 1/8 of a bar every use). of course only an idiot would do that.

since he can do it in the air at any time, juggling him isn’t the “answer” to getting around his burst. your video highlights that jolyne’s autocombo beats this, but this doesn’t mitigate how strong the burst is. let me explain: Jolyne’s rush only does about the same damage that Koichi’s burst does to himself. essentially, you’re doing the same amount of damage by “beating” the burst as if you didn’t beat it. of course if you can puttsun cancel cinematic moves, then that slightly changes things, but not majorly. you’re still the one taking all the risks of trying to hit him and he has a move that only costs 1/8 of a bar that mitigates it for minor damage. and even if you can puttsun cancel, then you can only hit with another cinematic move or he can just burst out of normal combo stuff again! and puttsun cancels aren’t cheap (1 whole bar).

fighting Koichi (at this juncture, obviously when it comes out we’ll know more; if there’s some piece missing from how to beat it, I’d love to know what it is) will feel like a chore.

I would be fine with this kind of strange mechanic IF it costed a lot more meter. but as it stands, it seems very stupid. maybe not broken, as you can “deal” with it. it’s just plain dumb.

sorry if this came off like I’m being a dick. I just really want this game to be super good. I appreciate all of the analysis efforts! since everyone else is doing analysis stuff, I think I might create a battle/hit/juggle mechanics video soon. :3

I think achieving C-Moon as Pucci will be quite manageable. Pucci’s HHA seems to knock the opponent back, so you can probably get in at least a couple words while they recover. I’d imagine you can get a few words off a hard knockdown as well. Really looking forward to that character (despite the A.I once again making everyone look like crap lol).

Also hyped for Valentine. I wonder what his benefit is from the corpse parts? It almost looked like he couldn’t be harmed when he collected all 3, but I know that can’t be it, lol.

At least one thing it does pretty clearly is that he gets a defense bonus so things do half damage when he has all 3 parts. You can see dio’s space ripper stingy eyes doing about half as much as any other instance when funny has all of the corpse.

It looks Kira can remote detonate his projectile, he explodes it at different ranges. Unless, the detonation’s determined by what button you press? No time out tactics with taunts, the timer freezes whenever you do them.

Pucci’s HHA’s also easily combo’d into (the A.I linked it against somebody). All the characters look great with the exception of Wham, I’m not sold on him yet. Right now, Cars is looking like someone I’ll probably gravitate to because he looks like an offensive combo-ish character. Next in line for me would be Dio (both versions), Jolyne, Valentine, Pucci and Koichi. However, the combo breakers are looking pretty stupid right now and they need to get fixed.

I actually thought Wham looked really strong, what with that standing medium range and the wacky possibily-crossup-overhead. Game needs to be in my hands so that I can stop guessing at things, though. ;_;

I thought PB Dio looked BONKERS, jump cancelable launcher, some sort of command ground-to-air leap, multi-normals in the air, counter into full combo… I was expecting being interested in him, but he looks really hype.

I was so excited to see him use Love Train when he got those corpse parts personally. It’s a pretty broken ability but they balanced it pretty well.

Oh for sure, I like how they implemented a lot of things in game Bites the Dust is another good example too. The whole animation is so awesome.

Well, it’s a little better then watching low level cpu I guess. I literally can’t believe we’re this close to launch without seeing actual in depth gameplay for this game. I’ve never seen this for a fighter before.
