Note that according to Famitsu, his time deletion ends when he presses an attack, so you should be able to block.
Gappy and Diavolo probably looked the coolest in this set, though everyone had some pretty cool stuff (Hermes’ ended up way cooler looking than I expected, that crack in her GHA made me wince), and so judging from this, day 1 I will probably unlock the inevitable Doppio costume ASAP and play Diavolo day 1.
I need to catch up with this thread, but here’s some extra info I got from GFAQs:
*"Seems that the new stage is Cape Canaveral, but haven’t gotten visual confirmation.
Dio (no battle style confirmation yet)
Can freeze the opponent in different ways.
Has the “stabby hand” grab attack.
Has additional commands in most attacks where he can suck the life out of opponents and absorb health.
Also has a move for getting HH gauge back.
Pucci
Whitesnake can seal abilities by taking discs out of people. Much like Rohan can seal attacks.
Whitesnake can do more than this though like taking specific abilities from people.
He has a move called “14 phrases” where if you can chant them all successfully your Stand changes to C-moon. (This is what the special meter is for)
C-moon can certainly affect gravity like turn an opponent upside down.
GHA successfully hit with C-Moon activates Made In Heaven.
MiH affects yourself and the background to move faster while the opponent is normal speed or slower.
Pucci - Sho Hayami (Vanilla Ice of the capcom game)
Whitesnake & C-Moon - Takuya Kirimoto"*
Pucci sounds AWESOME. He’s sounding like a mix of Rohan with the sealing tech, but also a bit of Frank West from Marvel and Zappa from GG, but instead of the payoff being chainsaw chip normals or Raoh, it’s the ability to end the goddamn universe.
It actually hurts we haven’t seen any footage for this esobee yet. I need to see how he works and how hard/easy it’ll be to ‘reach Heaven’. Oh and uhh, Dio. Yeah he also sounds cool.
Sounds like a Special DVD coming out with next month (august) Ultra Jump that will have the Games opening, and more important match footage by CC2 staff members. So yea I hope that gets ripped online and has some much more competent footage.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CsZyP0u2iI Since Pete posted on his youtube account that he’s lost internet, I thought I’d pick up where he left off with analysis just to keep JoJo talk going.
I am sorry I nervously rambled a bit in the beginning, match starts at 2:40. I would like to call special attention to the different colored counterhits, because I sure would like the collective mind to figure out what they mean.
Net seems to be okay while downloading the new full matches, so I should be good to continue with them.
So far I would describe this game as ‘interesting’. We don’t really know enough about it to say, but CC2 is definitely trying harder to make a proper fighting game with this than they were with the Naruto games, so I remain optimistic.
Diavolo’s Epitaph Super looks like it lasts quite a while. This dude looks like he has a lot of tools, can’t wait to see him used by a competent player.
And holy balls, at full charge, Akira’s Level 1 Super does Level 2 super damage, lol. I don’t know when he’ll have ample time to charge besides knockdowns though. But I guess if Order Sol can do it, so can Akira.
I wonder if moves ending in cinematics can be burst by Diavolo. I doubt it. I also doubt he can time delete while being juggled.
The more i think about it, the more i just look at Diavolo as a character with ‘more health’ and a crappy movelist. If that big punch King Crimson does is his overhead mixup post Time Delete, that shit’s mad slow and should be blocked by anyone with a little practice.
I wonder if maybe Diavolo can “unstick” from King Crimson during the wind up of that big punch. If you could I guess you could go for an unblockable set up.
Famitsu article for Dio and Pucci. Also announced today was Group G for ASB League, featuring Dio, Pucci, and the top voted loser from a previous group. Only really Kakyoin, Joseph or Giorno could win that spot, imo, but if someone else did I’d be pleasantly surprised. Pucci and Dio will probably wreck whoever it is, though.
I’m rooting to see more of my boy Gyro, but you are probably right about who will win the last slot Pete. And I’d be happy with any of those choices. I probably hope Pucci wins it all anyway since his move list seems massive. I’m also hoping we get to see Ultimate Lifeform Kars in the tournament.
