JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle confirmed by Bandai-Namco

I want this game so bad but this 30fps and the slow pace is killing me

I died at the joesph v. kakoyin saltiness. It is definitely better because, scrubs or not, we saw real live actual THINKING. I kind of wish all the group matches were done like this, haha…

Does anyone know what that event is?

Lol, the Joseph player could’ve easily won and she was playing pretty solidly too, but she decided to dick around for no good reason. So much salt from the players, it was hilarious. The players were getting so hype, especially the Okuyasu player, I thought she was gonna pass from all the yelling she was doing.

Found out it’s a television show called Idoling: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idoling!!!

So jotaro linked after his oraora while Johnny was on the horse. gogo infinites?

also, at 6:53 when Will is hitting DIO with the sendo overdrive, DIO tries his burst move, which just resets the combo meter for a second. he still gets hit by the rest of it.

of course all of this footage is from an outdated build (no move names in the corner, no desperation modes…etc), so maybe stuff has changed. DIO’s burst cost nothing this time around.

Did someone really dislike my comment about the game looking slow? Standing light looks almost 13 frames.

Jesus.

The floaty jump and the hard knockdown kill the match pace. I’m just not sold right now.

Oh, that explains a thing or two. I was wondering why Johnny had no corpse parts on the field, lol.

I’m sorry that I used the built in features of this website to reflect my disagreement.

By your own math you think standing jabs look like they take almost half a second. Of course I’m going to disagree, I’ve played 3D games before, lol

This really is why we need a separate dislike button, disagree is not a dislike, it’s simply saying you disagree with a statement, nothing personal.

Back on topic, personally I’m not seeing the game as too slow, I mean as tl_crow said, look at 3D fighters.

I don’t know what you were looking at, all the standing lights are pretty normal speed. Jonathan’s looks like its 2 frames, even.

Perhaps yah yaahh b*tch wasn’t paying as much attention to the recent videos? I think they clearly sped up the jump speed and the game looks way faster then when we first saw it, about on par with a lot of other 3D fighters.

Speed wise this game isn’t on par with 3D fighters, as 3D fighters are actually fast. However this is people playing the game without knowing much against the CPU and CPU vs CPU matches, so those are going to look the best. I was about to get a PS3 with for this, but at 30fps, I’ll just be hopeful that this gets cross-gen’d one of the next-gen systems.

More matches from the Idoling!!! show. Sorry, I can’t actually remember which matches features which chars, but you’ll see Giorno, Bruno, Josuke, Kakyoin, Kosaku Kira, Akira, Narancia and Phantom Blood Dio.

Giorno and Bruno’s jabs look really frigging fast and PB Dio’s easy beat combo has me interested in the rest of the game’s combo potential.

for some reason, Rohan combos a safety lock into a second one at 1:59. It looks like it’s just really good for linking after it. or it might be because it was a bit meaty. hopefully no infinites from that too 8)

oh he just did it again. it seems to push a bit away so it prolly won’t be a problem. nice to see some actual links in this game!

damn, timestop is fast.

1:30- throw breaks push you WAY THE HELL AWAY. Also, BWAHAHA at the T_T looks as both players realize that they are breaking throws. Holy shit.

And the ending.

This is the best.

DIO’s burst ._. looks like he can do anything after it (and the stupid AI kept going into his walk counter haha)

also the way juggles work in this have given me theoryfighter infinites in my head (when I make that vid I’ll go more into depth about this)

fun little notes:

Diavolo’s stand ON standing H causes a crumple. that should give him a little more damage output.

it looks like Jotaro will have enough time to set up a star finger after a throw. the AI does it a little slower than possible and so Diavolo jumps out

jousuke’s stand OFF tackle into dorarara looks like it has multiple followups

Jonathan’s hamon POWAHWAVE doesn’t go that far, but has really nice speed, startup, and recovery time. damage is low, however

Jonathan’s ex overdrive barrage launches. go go juggles!

I forgot if this was mentioned anywhere else, but Scarlet Overdrive definitely functions like a DP. in one of the CM’s for the game, it shows Jonathan clearly going through Hol’s projectile while doing it.

Kakyoin vs Jolyne match shows a good amount of the juggle system I was referring to above

IDOL GAMEPLAY~~~~

Pete was totally right, Jonathan’s standing/crouching Ls seem VERY fast. I honestly think this is the case for most of the characters but since the AI is idiotic we don’t really get to see it.

stand rush costs 1/4 of a bar. gooooood stuff.

Jotaro chains into his command attack “Oraa!!” we saw this with ACDC’s kick move, but with Jotaro doing it as well it seems that chaining into command normals is possible across the board.

Jotaro’s suck-in affects people who are OTG. pretty cool. there’s nowhere to run!

star platinum the world is very fast to startup. it functions like Capcom’s now in that it will use all of the meter you have available, but you’re still able to activate it in this one at just 1 bar. the time seems very short, only about 6 seconds for almost 2 full bars. the ensuing combo does limited damage as well. in this way, Jotaro will be very dangerous when the opponent is very close to death, but he probably won’t be using his meter for timestop otherwise? maybe? with how fast it starts up, I think he could easily just do stand ON oraora>ora!! activate timestop. but we’ll see

On par with which 3d games exactly? Not Tekken and not Soul Calibur.

This game looks slow. Not just in game speed but like I said the hard knockdowns and the moves that knock back, on top of the special attack cutscenes break the match pace. I didnt see any hard oki setups just a bunch of skipping around while the opponenet is face down.

But I wont argue. I’ll see if this game actually gets a community to make something more of it.

Apparently real and apparently a DLC character: http://i.imgur.com/HlduR8C.jpg

Can pretty much say he’s the last person I thought would make it in lol. It’s quite a nice surprise though.

Wow.

Umm, wow. I thought for sure Diego or a Stone Ocean character but err, umm… wow. Still, new character so that’s pretty hype.

YO LET’S GO FATTYYYYYY

I wish it was Weather, but Shigechii will be VERY interesting to play as. the other DLC character could’ve been much worse~
