see, this is what me and my sister say. Considering Jin was supposed to be such a Mishima hating person. But then that’s where I think they tried to do a bit of plot twisting by making Jin go the same route as Kazuya (by starting off kinda anti heroish then just going flat out evil.) Thus…where Lars comes in to hopefully be the actual mishima bloodline to break the curse. But we’ll see how this plays out. Considering how old Lars is and seeing how quick Jin/Kaz accepted their bloodline, Lars could escape it just because of how late he is to the party.
anyway…I vaguely touched Jin since I fooled with him on the side in 5.0. most of his stuff is still there it seems with the usual change of some moves. But Mishimas must have it rough this time around
I’ve played jin a bit in the ps3 version and he’s a lot of fun. how would you guys say he compares to T5 Jin? Would you say he’s gotten better in T6? and in what ways? i played Jin to death in T5, but switched over to King because Jin’s damage output wasn’t that amazing in T5.
d/f+1+2 = Punch parry. Parries all high and mid punches. Not too sure about the timing, but the parry window is when Jin gets into stance (note: this attack used to be CDS 2 in T5) before the punch.
1+3+4 = Taunt. Not much else to it. He can do it while back-turned. Jin also still has d+1+2 supercharger taunt after many of his old T4 attacks (f+3, f+1+2, d/f+3, 1,3,2,1,4, CD+4, f+4), but it comes out much slower than it did in T5DR.
Also, no more Omen (b+(press and hold)1+2~ d,u,b,f) as far as I know, but he still has the high/mid punch/kick attack reversal (b+1+2, f,f,b+1+3_2+4)
I think Jin is better compared to T5DR Jin. He gets pretty solid damage off his combos, but not as high as some other characters (particularly, those who have better wall carries). b+2,1 and 1+2 are probably his best new attacks. Whiff punishing is still essential with Jin, but I haven’t been able to land many ECD+1 (very nice that he gets a good combo off ECD+1, EWHF to dash 1,3~3 now!) off of a heavy whiff yet.
For real. How do we play as super Jin and shoot out 180 lasers, stay in rage mode the entire match and be able to execute incredibly fast wavedashes non-stop? No I’m kidding.
That shit blew my mind in Scenario Campaign. I was like, “…what?! Did he just really shoot a laser? I thought I was fighting Jin, not Devil Jin!”
I’m trying to run away to look for some health items and I’m like, “Holy shit this dude is literally gliding towards me oh my God! How can he wavedash like that?! That’s crazy! This dude is crazy!”
If Kazuya can equip a stupid pair of sunglasses to have the ability to shoot out a laser, I think Jin should have one too.
Wow, interesting. I’m learning new things about these special items everyday.
The laser attack is just like Devil Jin’s. It obviously only works in juggles but the only way I could figure out how to connect it is right after WS+2. The combo (WS+2, U+1+2) only does 22 damage which isn’t even worth it unless you’re winning and wanna end the round in a cool way.
I’ll try to remember to do the laser attack as an anti-air if anyone tries to jump at me or do something stupid like Yoshimitsu or Jack-6’s flying attack.
