okay I am mainly posting this about the topic of jin being good or evil in my opinion no, oh if you havn’t beat the scenario DON’T READ THIS otherwise I don’t care but at the end you find out only someone with the devil gene can truly destroy Azazel who is supposed to pretty much destroy the world and jin knew it had revived, and the only way for him to fight and destroy it was to make a physical form of it using negative energy thus he started that war pretty much but in the end he did (almost) sacrifice himself to stop Azazel while kazuya and Heihachi disappeared. Oh i found that back 1+2 followed by downleft+2 followed by 3 is a easy way to get someone close to a wall and if you are attacking and they are blocking use the Kazama combo 1-3-2-1-4 (think I got that right) for a prison the 4 will hit and stumble them or lead your punches into rising tide (upper angle (if left up and right angle)) the 1+2 simultaneously cause they cant see it if you are doing a punch combo works really well especially over breakable environments.
Trying to learn jin. What does “ECD+1” mean?
electric crouch dash + 1. It’s CD+1 with electricity. Mid -12 on block. Mid range whiff punisher.
IMO a good solid low would put Jin over. Since juggle damage isn’t a big deal anymore, his poking game really shines here.
That low, IMO, should be d+4…which is negative ON HIT. >_>
His hellsweep seems pretty good to me. Sure, it’s risky, but he gets decent damage off it and it’s unseeable.
Oh, you mean that just frame uppercut? I thought that was ewgf or something like that.
Mishima’s EWGF are done with the 2 button. Jin does not have that. His move with the 2 button is called EWHF. And his move with the 1 button is called ECD1.
Btw they are not just frames.
I started messing around with Jin a few days ago, and from what I’ve played of him so far, he seems to be a very counter hit-oriented character. Many of his launchers are from counter hits, and it seems like his pokes and parry were designed to goad your opponents into attacking you, creating counter hit opportunities. One of Jin’s moves that promotes this sort of style is his 1,3~b move, with EWHF or 1+2 seemingly good follow-ups depending on what the opponent does during the quick backdash.
Overall, I’m actually digging this iteration of Jin. He’s got a pretty good stand-up game, and he looks like he can be used as a pitbull. Execution-wise Jin seems easier than the other Mishima characters, but he probably takes a lot of skill to use at high levels of play.
yeah jins stand up game is phenomenal. ff. 4 is a great spacing tool and leads to b. 2,1 and whatever juggle you can think of. Alot of his moves on counter leave people in boundable states which leads to b 2,1 and a juggle, he just requires patience and some good knowledge of frame data.
I cant pitbull with jin at all, If you play looking for counter hits and spacing you can take jin very far.
I agree, especially about needing to have good knowledge of frame data, since Jin seems to rely on frame games. I’m actually thinking about making him my main character, although I can’t decide between Jin, Kazuya, and Julia. Damn you Namco for making a game with so many good characters!
you can pit bull with jin. wd and attack. i pitbull with him sucessfully. the more you play with him the more you realize he has the tool. keep playing the guy, he’s great.
