I had the same problems at first also, you just have to feel where the buffer window is. If you’re getting the chain combo, then you’re pressing HP much too early. Canceling MLD from PS quickly just takes practice. I’ve got it to where I can time MLD after PS fast enough so I can make adjustments on the fly.
Also, I always walk towards slightly before I hit with the standing forward after rising upper… so it’s more like I’m doing walk toward forward > HCB HP (Power Stance). From there I can rip out 646HP as needed.
the walk forward s.mk > hcb hp is exactly what I was looking for, after too many hours my biggest problem was to time perfectly s.mk > qcb PS, if I didn’t push down exactly after s.mk it didn’t work, walk forward hcb is great, s.mk whiffs a lot less and the timing is just right for PS, so now my problem is to time properly MLD since I’m doing it so early I’m missing hits, but that I can work with, thanks a lot.

I do (walk forward) st.MK, HCB HP (power stance), then forward + HP to get MLD to come out. I find whenever I try to do 646HP on anything that isn’t a grounded combo off MP, HP target combo, my hand just kind of spazzes out and I get all sorts of random directions. So I kind of treat MLD like a charge move with no charge time, if that makes sense. As soon as you press HP after HCB for power stance, just press forward and HP again.
The timing is still a little tricky, but it’s way more manageable to me than trying to input 646 directly. As far as I know, you can be holding forward for quite a while before you hit st.MK (let’s say you’re trying to walk up after comboing special step LP) and it won’t affect the input buffer.
This is so frustrating. I used to main jin in sfxt 2012 and now I’m trying to play him again. Back then I had no trouble special stepping from crouched normal but no I get it in bursts. I was playing some ranked and didn’t miss a sing ss. I go to take a shower and then I can’t do it anymore. I do the d back hcf method from crouching. What other shortcuts are there.
I had a question, when i combo with Jin from his rising uppercut, st.mk, into midline destruction, the midline would whiff if I used the heavy one, but it confirms on the medium one. Is that right, or am I doing the move too fast? I have lars on the back and I dont know if the follow up will hit if I keep doing feirce midline destruction
Do st.mk into power stance hp mld. Best damage, meter build and best for tagging.
If that’s too hard hold forward after ru let them lower a bit then do hp mld.
