All I wanna know is can we add custom tags and do import to this ish so I can tag obscenities all over the place.

Yeah you can create your own tags and there is a lot of freedom provided you are a good artist lol.
Here was a contest Sega did a few months ago. People sent in their own creations I believe.

What’s in the re-release that wasn’t in the DC game? I read the trophy list, but what are the tutorials about? Why’s there interest in the points system? Every other site just whines about the framerate or control scheme or JSRF comparisons and other shit that tells they don’t even have the game.
In the bonus menu you get a few tracks from JSRF and a mini-documentary aka making of jet set radio. Control scheme is the same but there are some slowdowns in the game, the same slowdowns that existed in the DC version but it doesn’t really take away from the experience. As far as interest in the points system I guess knowing what gives you points will make jet ranks easier so you can get those secret characters. There are also leaderboards available provided people don’t hack it.
EDIT: The tutorial is the exact same tutorial that existed on the dreamcast. It just gives you instructions on the basic controls you have to repeat but when it comes to the final lesson it asks you to do 50 tricks in the bus terminal. We all know the only way to do that is perform an infinite grind, I guess the game is testing your creativity because it doesn’t tell you how to do it.
I vaguely remember the 50 tricks tutorial now. People just whine too much, assuming they aren’t trolling.
Yeah true but imho Jet Set Radio has aged very well.
I’ve been watching more videos of JSRF and damn did us DC only cats miss out. The game had multiplayer!!! The animation seems more defined,fluid and smooth and the sound track sounds just as good as the first game. Really hoping Sega ports it but I guess it depends on the sales of this game.
I finally looked at the whole infinite grind video. To answer your question there’s obviously a lot of different infinite opportunities in each section, because only a couple of those look like the infinite routes I used. My go-to infinite in the Shibuya car traffic/crane/tunnel section was the elephant slide :lol: And I used a lot of different routes in Kogane that aren’t in the video. It’s been a few years but I’m pretty sure I had an infinite route for each section, which helped me get 100% Jet and the unlockables. Although Grind Square definitely has the least opportunity.
Yeah there is a lot of freedom in Jet Set and most people didn’t have capture devices back in the day, hell there was no youtube and filesharing sites at the time sucked. Now with the PSN and XBL releases I am sure we will see an explosion of videos containing tons of variations. I feel Jet Set Radio future went backwards in some ways but this is just going by videos I saw. At least if I have this correctly, tagging is one button with no prompts. There are also many areas with automatic infinite grinds aka circular areas. The gameplay has taken a more platforming route where you need to perform tricks to get past a certain area. I’m cool with that and still want to try it out. Great to know most of the old characters and gangs are still in future Tokyo. My mind is still blown that JSRF had multiplayer which is also impressive for the time the game came out.

Most peoples number one gripe with JSRF is the simplification of Tagging on on that note I can agree with them. I like that they tried to create a different game then JSR tho. It’s still JSR, but the…how to say it…way one plays is different. The city’s much bigger, more vertical and a lot about maximizing air to reach way off locations. It just asks for a slightly different skillset while maintaining it’s identity.
The simplified Tagging Controls is a shame tho. You can tag on the move tho which is kind of neat. I think they should have just made small tags things you can do on the go while the big tags need to be stopped at and use the old tagging system, instead of just abandoning it.
That is exactly what draws me to JSRF, why do I have a feeling Sega won’t bother porting that game?

its funny because theres a video on the main dashboard playing JSR and then at the end it says ‘out now’. when you click the video it gives you an error message.

Yoyo is hard? He was my partner in crime. I used him and noise tank the most. Yoyo handles well but has low health and paint capacity but he’s a godsend for getting Jet rating because he gets huge bonuses with his graffiti. Yoyo is my favorite to use followed by Noise Tank for those stupid chirping noises he makes lol
sony dropped the ball today with this release. these fuckas messed up any possible new fans for sure. you buy the game and it says full game but its only like 6kb or some bullshit and you can’t even see it in your games list.
you basically pay 9.99 for a headache and being frustrated.

I never thought being a PS+ member would save me from a disaster like this. Sony is pretty good with fixes,refunds and credits so I doubt you’re screwed over. Hang it there B, jet set is worth it.
oh, i know. i have multiple copies of this game on my dc, lol…plus at least one bootleg copy. i specifically supported this release to play in hd.
but so far they told one guy that called that they could refund him in 15 business days. the rep on their message board said that they need time to fix this…which sounds like its not an easy fix.
paying 20 is not an option out of principle.
waiting 15 days for a refund isn’t an option either since it wasn’t about money.
but dammit i really don’t want to wait another minute. this game was announced awhile ago for the psn and has been pushed back as it is. you can’t even upload graffiti from the net, afaik like you could on the dc version.

had my heart set on playing after i got off of work. 
I think they will, Jet Set is going to sell more than tony hawk HD…its just the matter of getting all the songs again which might be a pain for them
