I remember when Christopher Hitchens wrote an article justifying waterboarding then volunteered to have it done to him. He lasted about 5 seconds before he gave in and completely changed his stance on the issue. He says he still has waking dreams where he feels like he’s being smothered.
Hasselbeck may not be the most intelligent debater, but she isn’t stupid and you have to give her props on always trying to stand her ground around 3 other staunch democrats and a lot of liberal guests.

I don’t agree with the intelligent part, but I always respect someone willing to stand their ground when outnumbered. She does get schooled here though.
What hurt her was she was stuck on Nancy Pelosi, while Jesse was focusing on the torture itself. Her support of the form of interrogation while trying to guide the argument to being about Nancy Pelosi’s lying about knowledge of the practice just don’t come across as compelling as talking about the water boarding itself.
