Hasselbeck is a fucking idiot. Anyone that’s gone through SERE can vouch for the hell felt. Hell, you don’t even have to GO through SERE. Just ride the board.

Amen to that shit. SERE waterboarding was fucking horrible. Not to mention half the other shit that they put you through. The worst for me were the loud speakers and this shit they played on there and the waterboarding was right up there as well.

So I have no idea what SERE training is about so I just quickly googled it and clicked on the first link I came across.

No. It’s not so much that I am against waterboarding. I’m against two things here. We’ll tackle them both.

First, SERE training and other methods of physical and psychological training are crucial for soldiers bound to find themselves behind enemy lines and/or carrying sensitive information. It was confirmed and documented over several accounts that we had information voluntarily given WELL BEFORE the waterboarding of Gitmo detainees. There’s a difference between training soldiers and torture.

For the record, by no standards am I a bitchass. I’m all for butchering and fucking up confirmed foes…the right people. When you’re in the wrong though? You’re in the wrong. Period. There’s a reason people are pointing fingers, placing the blame, and resigning left and right.

Second, I take an issue with every fucking civilian with a Twitter and a Blackberry opening their mouths in regards to military affairs as of late. Pundits on all side. Dip shit liberal nutjobs ranting “Shame on you for obeying orders at Guantanamo, military” and War Hawk conservative jackasses mocking Canadian troops for wanting a break or advocating the continuous shuffling of troops into the Sandbox like it’s a fucking game of Starcraft. Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Bill O’Reilly, Wolf Blitzer…I’m just tired of people who haven’t actually invested time in the service “rallying behind” or shouting down men in uniform. I’m not saying any branch is beyond criticism, but a lot of talking heads that are yammering should honestly shut the fuck up.
