After alot of the negative ideas the Japanese community has seemed to have over HD Remix, it seems intresting and promising to see something like this produced. I would love to have someone do this in english though.
They are really imformative, showing things like how effective the changes are for dodging fireballs and such. The Akuma part is awesome because it actually shows some of the comboes he lost as well.
They’re making fun of the fact that it’s actually Oicho Throw, I think.
Anyways, is anyone gonna translate this shit? The Fei one looks especially interesting, because it shows situations where he can actually still link a normal off his Chicken Wing.
Yeah, I hadn’t even tried after reading the changes and hearing people discuss Fei. Looks like as long as they are ducking and only one hit connects, you can link after it. Which is great, cause that situation does actually occur from time to time.
uh, they were just talking about what Maj already posted about Boxer’s bug where if you do:
standing jab, and THEN low short into low jab, the low jab comes out as a standing jab as a BUG
Maj said they retained it and I guess that’s what they were demonstrating
Wasn’t that bug already there in OG ST ? but not that popular. I saw those vids on nico 2 days ago also T.Akiba seems to be analyzing HD he already put up an extra Remix page on his site but only linked it through the bbs.
The Japanese seem to be very happy about the hit boxes in training mode, they no longer have to ask Capcom to lend them a Debugded mode ST board.
YES they need to find out what they’re missing they need an arcade release they need to switch up to this they need to keep coming to North American tournaments for SF2. Watching their top players play against those of our continent is still way too dope.
Holy run-on sentence, Batman! But I totally agree. They need some kind of release in Japan, whether it be arcade or not. That said, no one knows if HDR will be played in HDR mode or Classic mode at Evo2k9, so just because the Japanese didn’t get a release doesn’t mean they can’t compete.
The only complaint about HD Remix by the Japanese is the artistic level of the graphics it seems too plain for them, I can’t blame them Guilty Gear/Arcana Heart spoiled them :).
It’s Remixed mode. Remixed mode is the new game. All majors in North America and Europe will use Remixed mode unless it’s found to be hideously broken… and even then they might still stick with it. It’s just plain more fun.
My understanding was that the only comments we’d really seen from the Japanese up until now have just been from casual SF fans dinking around on the internet. Supposedly they weren’t so much unimpressed at the graphics’ plainness as they were not very fond of what they saw as a bunch of Americans trying to draw anime. I think. This is just me trying to remember somebody else’s overall impression after reading a whole bunch of comments left for a number of SFHD videos on Nicovideo, haha. (Personally, I think it’s kinda cool that the SFHD art is sort of this hybrid style of Japanese manga art and a traditional North American comic books.)
Supposedly a little while back, not even that long ago, most of the hardcore SF2 players had never even heard about SFHD. It’s cool to know a name as big as T. Akiba is becoming interested in the game. I guess the word’s spreading, or maybe it’s started receiving a little publicity/media mention there. If SFHD gets a Japanese arcade release, I don’t doubt for a second that their ST scene will convert.
They wouldn’t get an arcade release unless a lot of prospective players are interested though… which I’m guessing even in Japan would be by majority the aforementioned casual SF fans. I hope the average arcade-goer there starts to want this. I hope they figure out what they’re missing out on.
