Japanese 3rd Strike Players Index

Yeah, I saw his name at the top there.

??(AL) = Gure

??(CH) = Ushi
???(CH) = Soaring Rabbit?

???(DU) = Gidado?
???(DU) = Okazu

??(KE) = Hige
???(KE) = Shoutarou (confirmed by Acer)

???(HU) = Ouchi?
???(HU) = Hando ~ Hand
???(HU) = Ooyaha

???(MA) = Shiroitachi (confirmed by Acer)
???(MA) = Barabara

??(NE) = Murakami
???(NE) = Opera

??(OR) = Daikoku

???(RE) = Sukeroku

???(RY) = Himuro

???(UR) = Osoba
???(UR) = Lantan (corrected)
???(UR) = Raamen

???(YA) = Tonbo
???(YA) = Ou Otona

???(YU) = Iyun
???(YU) = Yamakonbu

Only a couple I wasn’t too sure about; Acer is correct about the Shiroitachi name, it seems like it’s written in kanji cause the first two characters mean “innocence” which is also what Shiro can mean as well.

If you have the matches with these players and the commentator Shend, maybe I can listen to his announcements to clarify the names I’m unsure about.

Thank you Acer & Ghibli

Sorry Ghibli, there’s no videos associated with those names as they didn’t make it to the Quarter Finals

Some new GAME41 names:

???(CH)(EL) = ?Eriru?

???(KE) = ?Skill?

???(RE) = ?Goat?

gah, I don’t know.

takumi: I think it means tradesman.

???(KE) = Takumi (does mean “skillfull”)

???(RE) = Yagii (the first two characters together do mean “goat”)

That first one is correct too; you’re getting the hang of it, eh Shend?

Thanks Ghibli

It’s definitely not me getting better man, its the Google translator tool

Oh and cheers for clearing up the Wataoni/Amaguri, i’d forgotten about it after the vids went up >_< I do have this one as well though: .

Cheers

??? = Katou(AL)

Oh and here’s one from the recent Gvision ranking battle (6-12).

??? = Daisuke(YU)

From the latest Game41 matches:
??? = Roppu (Urien)
Also, Heboyan has gotten an upgrade. He’s now ??? = Heboyan2 (Urien).

I figured it would make more sense if I responded to your post in here.

They call him ???= Nekutai. I can’t figure out the kanji in the parentheses though. Maybe I’ll get it later.

I haven’t heard of that midnight fighters festival before, maybe I’ll look into it later when I’ve got more free time.

why arent TM and TK listed for Q players?? they’re very good

first of all, thankyou for a great resource.

Incidentally, I was just wondering which players of characters other than Yun, Chun, Ken, Makoto and Urien had won any noteable tournaments. Although there is no doubt in my mind that all of these players are top notch and do well in competitive play, I was curious as to who had translated that ability into tournament victories, as whenever I have seen results it is the usual suspects that place.

I remember a Georgia’s Ryu winning one of the Kyushu Taikai (singles. Don’t remember the year)

If you count team tournaments too, Roshihikari-Kuroda-Yamazaki won a nicely sized team tournament about 3 years ago if I remember correctly.

Cooperation Cup 5 was won by Kuroda-Hayao-Aruka-Pierre-J. Yes the latter 2 have characters you mention, but the first 3 did a LOT with OCV’s here and there
expecially Kuroda’s Q that OCVed this team:
Team "Tokido’s Army"
Dragon Joe (Chun-Li)
Issei (Yun)
Keeper (Ken)
MOV (Chun-Li)
Misawa (Ken)

and if the names aren’t enough, keep in mind that this was the very team that had eliminated

Team "Royal Straight Flush"
Boss (Yun)
Mester (Yun)
Nitto (Yun)
Raoh (Chun-Li)
Umehara (Ken) (didn’t attend)

heard about this cup and J did have his share of beasting. but are there any vids at all? been looking around and i have never seen it.

I said the same thing before. I have a feeling it’s cuz their names aren’t in japanese.

Geezus christ man. Team Royal Straight Flush is broken. That sounds like a crazy coop cup. I must see.

lol their still japanese :looney: o well we’ll see what shend says.

and yeah wtf 3 yuns on one team? 3 of the best ones at that wow.

a friend of mine was there and watched part of coop cup 5. He asked to film but they didn’t allow him because “a dvd of that was to come out”.
2 years later, there’s still no sign of that footage coming out. They should have allowed my friend to film everything back then

I think this was 2003.

haha, I do this all the time.

I can’t recall how many edits I made fixing when I’ve put Kuroda instead of Q.

???(HU) = Nuboo 1 (I don’t think it’s “Number”, they would’ve emphasized an “R” sound at the end)

??(KE) = Piko
???(KE) = Tengu
???(KE) = Megane-chin

???(OR) = Nuboo 2
