Japanese 3rd Strike Players Index

Team: ??? (Hangeemu?)
??? = Yoshida (Makoto)
??? = Haramou (Necro)

Team: ??? (Drop Army)
??? = Nuuboo (Hugo)

Team: ???XX (SuubaokanXX?)
???B = IchiroB (Chun-li)
?? = Emi (Gouki)

Team: ???
??? = Futomomo (Chun-li)
?? = Domu ~ Dome? (Dudley)

Also, typos in the list. The Urien player Messatsu Yaroh - should be Yarou. And the Ken player Pyonibi - should be Pyonkichi.

Absolutely fantastic GhibliCat, that was very quick

Amended the typo’s and also updated the main list.

Right, off to upload some GAME41 3rd Strike love on a neglected 3rd Stike channel >_<

Some new names have cropped up recently.

???CH? - ??

???CH? - ??

- I thought I had this one already?! Apparantly not!

???KE? - ??

???(NE)?- ??

???Q? - ??

- Is this really Vanao but spelt wrong? Compared to Vanao’s Japanese name the last symbol does look different.

???(UR) - ??

Also, I seem to have the same Japanese for 2 different Dudley players, any clarification as to which is right and what the wrong players Japanese name should be?

??? = Aiku
??? = Ecyk

Thank you

???CH? - ?? - Think its Chi-Ha (many / thousand leaves)

???CH? - ?? Shinchan

???KE? - ?? Nippachi

???(NE)?- ?? White Curry (Shiro Kare)

???Q? - ?? Nagata

???(UR) - ?? ASUTA

?? = Mago (He appeared in earlier ranbats playing as Ken, listed as 2D God Mago. In the 6.2 ranbat, he was using Dudley.)

?? = Tsubo (I recall this player playing as yun, but in the 6.2 ranbat, he uses Chun-li.)

??? = Vanao. This is still the same player, but they spell his name two different ways with that last character (the way it’s spelled now is a ‘wo’ sound). I’m thinking that his name is intended to be Vanao though. It’s up to you if you want to include that in the list or not.

I doubt that Jasmine is girl. The only female japanese player that I remember is Yukino and she retired WAY back.

I believe the Alex in video is “Maru” ("??") or something like that.

Thank you very much gentlemen, list updated.

Only 1 new name from GAME41 has appeared recently:

???(KE) = ??

Props to the men who keep this thread ticking over

jasmine is addicted to SA1

=(

Hey Shend, my nick is ryansheil on Youtube.

I posted a comment, the Ken you’re looking for is named Wasshii I think. The only way I’d be wrong is if the first kana isn’t “wa”, I am not so great with the font on the video.

Anybody know what the deal is with Kenzo/KO? Is he maining Yang now instead of Yun, or just fucking around?

Edit: Shend, do you have any videos of yourself playing? I know the guys in England like Naz, Chunkis, Ryan Hart etc are beefy, but I want to see the guy behind the biggest channel on Youtube.

K.O plays a lot of characters (and skillfully at that). I, personally still think his main is K.O (but what do I know?) and that’s he’s just using other characters (not necessarily “fucking around”).

Cheers for that

Trust me, you don’t  I live in Northern England and I haven’t had a versus match in over 3 months, scrub doesn’t begin to cover it o_0

Biggest on YouTube though? Is that really true?

Oh for sure, I know he can play a lot of guys, it’s just that he’s been playing Yang for like 3 or 4 straight tournaments now.

Shend: Your channel is one of the biggest on Youtube I am pretty sure. You can’t even find one person who wants to play seriously? I live in Maine and we still have like 4 or 5 guys who want to play SF.

Another thing you can use is this: http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi-bin/wwwjdic.cgi?1C Paste the Kanji in there, and it’ll translate quite well. The only issue you’ll have is with Kanji combinations, but if you need a quick translation… there it is. Also, if something is a common word in Katakana/Hiragana you’ll find out what people’s nicknames mean. Messatsu Yarou= Destructive Rascal or something similar, for example. ;p

KO is using Yang for SBO.

??? = Chairman Hieda (Dudley) ~ thanks to GaijinBlaze for pointing this one out.

??? = Aiku <~ this one is more accurate in terms of spelling and pronunciation.

I’m almost convinced that the unknown dudley is ?? = Wajin , but it’s still not too clear.

New Urien player!

???(UR) = ?? [Google translation says Tada - Not the same person as the Gouki player ?? ??]

Also, I haven’t been checking but if there’s players from the SBO teams which aren’t listed in here then please give us a shout so I can add them across.

Many thanks everyone

OMG its theshend O_O

I thought you were just a legend o.O

Anyone know why hayao didnt go >_<~!

Hope everyone’s summer is going well, just dropping by to throw in a few names.

???(UR) = Tadachima
??? = Tackle Maeda ~ yun player that appeared in gvision ranbat 5.9
?? or ??? = Kirin ~ green chun-li that appeared in ranbat 6.5 - btw, were you able to download 6.5 Shend? They put up a bittorrent for it finally.

There are more names in the SBO '07 Qualified Teams thread, but since there’s no video footage of some of those players, I’m not sure if you want to include them in the list.

Ko Ftw.

i don’t think Yang would be his main, he played Makoto for some tournaments too, and wow that was sick(random :lovin:)

Hey Ghibli, cheers for that update

Yeah, I can’t believe I missed 6.5, but I thought it was odd when the recent GVision torrent completed and it said 6.6? Picked up 6.5 from the GoForBroke GVision FileFront archive in the end

Just converting both to .wmv so I can edit them with Windows Movie Maker and then they’re going up.

With regards to those names though, for completeness sake and since they’re already there I think it’ll be best to include them into the main list. Never know, they may end up on a match vid somewhere

Many thanks again to everyone, enjoy your Summer Ghibli, I start training as a Science teacher this september and it’s dawned on me, I have to teach sex education to teenagers? :pleased:
