Check the Beat Tribe main page, the lucky bastard got to be on Chibita’s (the crazy Lion who won Evo2k3) team, which won a 47-team 3 on 3. I think the little writeup says he plays Wolf, but I’m not too good with Japanese vocabulary yet so I dunno. shrug

I think there will be a small qualifying tournament held at SBO to decide the final team.
That’s what they did last year, they held a last chance qualifier the day before SBO. The team that qualified was 178 (Dudley), RZ-06 (Ken), Ruu (Yun).
Yea I play with Oro also and SAII is his best soopa in the DC version of 3S. Not because of the UB, but because of his ex moves. If you jump and use the EX chickenfeet to attack. It’s hard to parry and even if they block it you will land safely if you do it at the right distance.
But the DC 3s is trash if you prefer the UB’s. I don’t think it’s trash and I play with Oro. I think it’s the fair version of 3S. I found the last arcade version of 3S made for the USA in a small movie theater in Atlanta, Ga. and it doesn’t have ANY UNBLOCKABLES in it. I though I was losing my mind while playing it. I was like “WTF” is up with this 3S?!?!?
:bluu: I knew I wouldn’t get the movies to open up the cabinet just to look inside and see if it was running on a DC or not. So I complained about the sticks and someone came out and poped the joystick panel back to test the sticks. Sure enuff it was a cps3 system inside. Not a DC system. Most of the home version of fighting games are the finished version of the game. Meaning they tweek the gameplay to try to even out the game. Aka take out something they thought was bullshit. Aka Unblockables. Ken, chun li, and Yun are still the top 3 characters in the game. I love playing 3s at home or on a cabinet. I just have to play harder when I play on the DC when I use oro that’s all. Some people aren’t lucky enough to play 3S in the arcade on a cabinet and some aren’t. So they have to learn on something. I prefer the arcade also, but I will play 3S on the DC. Lucky I have friends within 50-100 miles around me that own 3S cabinets, so when I have free time to play I just drive and hour and pop over and play. I’m in the process of buying a 3S cabinet myself since the arcades that are left in Atlanta, Ga. suck monkee balls on a hot summer day. Also I can use it for my tournaments (FINAL ROUND)

Well dammit, looks like DBA and B-Kane were right after all, this tournament belonged to bore-ass top tier team…
On the bright side, if anyone had picked Xiao’s crew to finish 2nd, you should be winning tournaments as we speak with those psychic skills. =P
Just out of curiosity, who won the last chance qualifier? While babelfishing the Tougeki site I read something about that team someone mentioned here before…Onanism (Urien)/Meta (Ken)/??? (Sean). Did they win it?
And one bit of coolness for all of ya…ex-Makoto dominator Chemuru was on the winning team in VF4 Evo. He’s become quite a solid Wolf, but that didn’t matter this time; as I’m sure you’ve heard, a Kage player named Jin won literally every single match for his team. His teammates never had to play the whole time.
shinblanka: Yes, you’re right, I’ve been messing around recently and have found ways to make SA2 useful on the DC. I’ve heard about you doing well in tournaments down there, maybe we’ll meet up sometime and have us a mirror match.

I wonder if the infinite Genei Jin Matsuda thing was bogus… And if Mester used unblockable dive kicks to win. Someone in Japan confirmed me it was possible to do unblockable dive kicks but didn’t know how to do it yet.
I’m down for that sir. I love playing against new comp from different regions. I’ll be at EVO2k4. Look 4 the tall brotha with the Mick Vick jersey on with an EMS button on the lip on my falcon hat. That will be me.
