They had some at Bic Camera in Yurakucho and I saw quite a few at Yodobashi Camera in Ueno.<div><br></div><div>They got a whole bunch out there compared to a few years ago when you had to hunt them down.</div>

How’s it going folks. I’ll be in Japan April 3rd till the 9th, and was just wondering if anyone knew of a arcade with a pretty good Vampire Hunter, (and V Sav as well), setup? Last time I was in Japan I had maybe a few days of actual play in the arcades, and I had only played AE since it was still pretty new at the time. It’s been about 11 years since I was competitive in Hunter so I figured I’d kick myself back into shape since it’s getting a re-release(also planning to pick up a copy while I’m there).
I’ll be staying at the naval base in Tokyo, (I’m not sure where but I believe it’s Minato), and have a couple of things already planned to do, (mostly just sets setup with some of the Japanese players in SFxT). I mostly want to get a day or two in the arcades with the Vampire community over there(maybe 3 if I get all my gift shopping done during my first outing).
I was at Shibuya Kaikan and and Club Sega in Shinjuku last night… got my ass handed to me.
I really need to start playin 3s and CVS2 religiously again. So out of practice!
I will be traveling to Taiwan and Japan later this year. I will spend a week in Osaka. I’m interested in SF4 mostly. Which arcades are in Osaka that I should visit? Which players go there?
I don’t know exactly where in Osaka, but the girl already has crap scheduled so I guess around the area that has this:
"大阪城 Osaka Castle - "“http://www.osakacastle.net/english/
玉造稻荷神社 Inari - http://www.inari.or.jp/
天滿宮 Tenjinsan Temple - http://tenjinsan.com/
道頓崛 Tonbori Riverwalk - http://www.dotonbori.or.jp/
空中庭園展望台 Floating Garden - http://www.kuchu-teien.com/english/index.html”
Thanks in advance!
Best arcades in Osaka right now are:
Monte 50 (closest station Umeda/JR Osaka)
Sega Avion/Taito Station Nipponbashi/Taito Station Namba/Namco Arcade Nipponbashi (closest station Namba)
Namba Hills (closest station Namba)
There are a bunch of other quality arcades but depending on what game you’re playing your options may be limited.
Hi, I will be in April 7th to 16th, Osaka and Tokyo, any place recommended where I can buy arcade sticks (i am looking for the Hori Fighting Edge).
also, which place is best for playing arcade? I play SSF4AE2012 mostly.
When I was out in Osaka on a biz trip I was at Namba Hills for a few meetings… I wish I would have known this when I went there so I could have played at the arcade after my last meetings…
I just bought my stick from Hori’s online store…
http://stores.horiusa.com/-strse-PlayStation-3/Categories.bok
delivers within days and you can also pay at the convenience store if you dont have a japanese credit card.
Hi,thanks for your help, but i dont think buying online would be possible for me, i am in Japan (Osaka/Tokyo) as a tourist in a packaged tour so i will be moving a lot from one place to the other, is there a shop that sells hori sticks? akihabara perhaps?
In Osaka I have no clue. But in Tokyo you can just go to Yodobashi Camera, Bic Camera, Yodogawadenki… pretty much anywhere they have them.
thank you very much for this information
thank you very much for this information
I’m going to be grinding it out on AE for the next few days. If anyone wants to get some games in I’ll be at the Akibhabara Taito Hey! pretty much all day Tuesday - Thursday this week. Post up if you can make it out, would be nice to see someone else from SRK that speaks English!
In Osaka you can go to any large retail store like Bic Camera, Sofmap, or Yodobashi Camera to buy it.
If you want to save money, go to a store called A-Too, they have arcade sticks second-hand.
FYI, MixUp Night (Osaka group) is gonna have AE 3 on 3 random and Soul Calibur 5 2 on 2 random tournies on 4/28. Will post up more info later
does anyone know where you can get your stick modded around tokyo?
what do you need done?
i have a virtua stick high grade but i think there is a frayed wire? it only registers when the wire coming from the stick is in a certain position, which is an inconvenience.
so new pcb and wire? +360 compatibility?
Cut the end and rewire it. You just need electric tape.
But it could be the connector. I don’t know the cable for xboxes though so I may be off.
