JAPAN THREAD 2010: Let's do this ish!

Juri and Guile’s dish look kinda yummy lol

I’m gonna be another “hey i’m coming to japan!” poster, but yeah, I’m gonna be coming to Japan for two weeks in July. I dunno if I’ll be able to meet anybody or have time to really check out the arcades (I really hope I can!!) but I’m mostly wondering if there are any shops I might visit that I could buy some custom stick parts. I’m supposed to have about two, maybe three days where I could really dig through Akihabara and try to find stuff for sticks, but I don’t know the first thing about where to find stuff in Akiba so I’ll probably just end up browsing and not getting anything actually done.

Thanks guys!! If I know I’ll be able to hang out closer to the trip I’ll let people know.

So do we know when the arcade release of SSF4 will be in Japan? I don’t have a console here… nor a stick.

nope we dont

i wonder how long until it will be pushed out… i hate it when they make new versions of a game that is alrady out… Tekken pisses me off the most

just gotta wait for it :frowning:

Hey guys does anyone know the directions for Alpha Station in Shinjuku? Ideally directions from the stations.

Thanks

alpha station is in Okubo, just get off at shin okubo station and walk left, its on the right side of the street

Thanks man I`ll have a look out for it next time!

Hey all, just found this thread, so thought I’d introduce myself and say I’m a Londoner living up in Sapporo for the year. Moved here with my wife around a month ago and probably gonna be up here until around March next year, so if anyone else is up north/fancies a visit, give me a shout. Snowboarding’s gonna be pretty immense once the snow comes round again. Anyway, any fellow gaijin up for some games on live? Be cool to be able to play some English speakers again without a 1-bar connection.

Two more locations of arcades guys:

  • Shinjuku Sportsland
  • Kaikan in Shibuya

Thanks again

Shinjuku Sportsland: at Shinjuku Station go to the Kabukicho exit (You first may need to follow a sign that says Central East Exit. At which point you should see a sign for Kabukicho). Go towards that huge LCD monitor. Cross that first busy intersection until you hit the main street, and turn right.

You will see one of those large taito stations on your right. After you pass that, Shinjuku Sportsland should be right there on your right.

And i’m not sure about Kaikan. I’ve only been here a short while =(

Your a saviour! I’ll be sure to check it out.

Guys big help here sorry for the constant requests!

There’s supposed to be a KOF XIII loke test in Ad Ace Ogikubo Nishiguchi in Tokyo.

Could someone please tell me what station it is near? Also which of the links of arcades (in the above SNKP link) is the arcade so I can follow the map. It’s supposed to happen between 1-5 May.

Thanks again!!!

EDIT: squash that found out its Ogikubo

Any people near Nagoya, Japan? I’m looking for a few people to do some casuals with.

I’m somewhat “nearish” Nagoya. I’m in Kyoto and was actually just in Nagoya a few weeks ago for the Custom Motorcycle Expo (got dragged into it)

lol, I bet it was kind of fun though

when’s the next time your going to be in Nagoya?

I live in Ogaki. It’s about 30 minutes from Nagoya.

On a side note if anyone has a PS3 and SSF4, add me =)

Anyone else notice SRK double posts a lot more since changing over?

Lets get some games in sometime man

Also anyone know of any tournaments in or near Nagoya for SSF4?

Im free this weekend.

ok cool, you have a cell?
