lol i can see like a lil bit of my head in that vid
ggs to all @ the Shinjuku Taito station, nice meeting the guys from SF, NC, Saudi Arabia. First time I ever see a international group of people playing together. If any Japanese players are reading this, Id just like to say thanks for the hospitality, and letting me win a few rounds here and there. Great fun.
Im heading to Kyoto in a couple of days, if any one knows where the top arcades are in that city, please let me know, thanks in advance.
Alright, officially in Ikebukuro but it seems that Iāve completely missed nationals. Following this thread, it looks like the new place to play is Shinjuku Taito station (south exit)ā¦but Iām getting confused as to whether this is the same place as Shinjuku Sports Land in Shibuya? lol, must seem like a completely noobish question to the regs but I just want to make sure I go to the right spot my first SF4 night out in Japan. Are the arcades still bustling on a Tuesday?
Also down to meet any fellow SRkāers on here, or anyone else that can speak English lol.
The only arcade worth going to in Kyoto is a-cho in Kawaramachi/Shijo
http://www.a-cho.com/acho/access.html
No, they are two totally different arcades. Shinjuku Sports Land in Shibuya is⦠in shibuya. Taito Station Shinjuku South Exit is⦠in Shinjuku lol.
lmao, didnāt realize Taito Stations are arcades all over Japan until today =[
Anyways, I plan on going to the Shinjuku Taito Station tonight so hopefully some you folks will be there.
wazap
anyone in Tokyo up for SSFIV KO meals? http://www.capcom.co.jp/sf4/tieup.html
If anyone is free on April23, Iāll make reservation @ Benitora Gyoza Bo in Sunshine City Ikebukuro.
if interested reply or PM me.
thanks Reno, going to check out A-cho tonight, thanks for the info. Couldnt find any arcade around the main station in Kyoto at allā¦
thanks again, Reno, I followed googleās direction and walked into a shopping district, figure I messed up and gave up looking for the place, and then I found it in the middle of that huge shopping road thing, lol.
hey everyone. Im fron Oxnard California, its about an hour north of Los Angeles, and imma be heading out to tokyo 28th of september and staying til 12th of October. I will be staying at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel. My main concern is that i dont speak japanese so, how hard will it be for me to get around over there? also would i have to buy some kind of subway/train pass? I would like to check out some arcades, i play SF4 and a little 3s, while im there and do some shopping. I like anime like bleach and naruto and stuff and im into cars. I was in a car club over here and im into the whole jdm thing. so what places would you guys suggest i see. Any info would be a big help. Thanks!
dude, I dont speak any Japanese, I do fine. The subways are all labeled in English, and the announcer in subways all speak English. If you have trouble, just ask someone, even if they donāt speak English, they will find a way. I got on the wrong bullet train, and someone in the train helped me out, and then the guy responsible just called someone on the cellphone, and on his cellphone someone texted the English that was required. And it was my fault that I got on the wrong train, I just got there an hour early. And I just use google maps to get me where i need to go. So far so good.
Hey Reno, thanks for all your help, just curious, do you know this kid in Kyoto that goes to A-cho, he has like a master card in almost all characters, from what i can tell, heās one of the top bp earners in the last month at least, his game tag translates into something like āflightā. how good is he compare to the top players. His Honda killed me like 20-30 games today.
On the other hand looks like theres too much to do in Kyoto, I got 2 days left, and not enough time, looks like I wont be heading to Osaka this trip :(, guess Illl have to come back in a few months again, lol.
one question about the cards, how come on one hand, you cant use a name tag already in use, yet, many players have a separate card for all their different tags, and use the same name? thanks for the help
Hope to some of yāall in a couple daysā¦
you can register more than one characters under your ātagā, but you cant have two of the same characters.
thanksā¦
Hey yāall Iām here for a week. Hit up Big Box and Club Sega. Trying to figure out how to get to Shibuya Sportsland.
More important, if anyone is down to drink/play whatever let me know! SRK MOB!!
So I went to Shibuya KaiKan a bit back⦠sucks ass to what it used to be like. Im lost nowā¦
What is the next closest arcade that ppl recommend for SF4, 3s, and T6BR?
I know there is a fat list, but rather get the peopleās favorite.
Iāve been playing everyday at Chau Chau near Nishioji Sanjo in Kyoto. Itās a little 3 floor entertainment facility with Karaoke on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Street Level is the arcade, but from the street it looks like itās just Crane games lol
Iāve also played a little bit at A-Cho and Namco Tower, so anyone hit me up if you are looking for games in Kyoto over the next few months.
Iāve been to osaka a couple of times before and I know there are tons of arcades in the Namba station area, but because of the nature of my previous trips I was never able to get some games in. Iāll be in Osaka again for a few days next week. Anyone know where I can find some nice 3s competition (where Hayao plays etc)?
Does he even play 3S anymore?
Last time i even SAW the guy like, 3 years ago, he was playing at Namba hills, but yeahā¦that was a long time agoā¦I see people sometimes playing 3S at namba hills, sega avion, or scot, but 3S obviously doesnāt have quite the scene it used toā¦Youāre way better off just going to Monte 50 in Umeda for 3S comp.
