Stream
We will officially have a live stream! It will be run by Daniel Medina (Medina4life).

Please help out by bringing any TVs or consoles that would help things run smoother and allow for more casuals and tournaments to run faster.

About me and Frosty Faustings: I used to live in Chicago and am one of the most well known Guilty Gear players from the US. I have been living in Japan for almost 4 and a half years. Every year, I visit Chicago and run Frosty Faustings to help out the scene and get some games in with everyone. Please come support this event!

I’m stoked. you should see if rashad, median or the people that ran the stream at nives event want to run the stream they all do a good job.

Yea the guys that did the ignition event are great streamers. They know what they are doing.

This is the day after my birthday… Hopefully I’m not too hung over and I can make it!!

So I was thinking, who would be down to celebrate my birthday at Nickel City during/after FF? I would be down… Just trying to figure out ways I can celebrate and enjoy FF!!

damn… i was planning another Naptown Clutch around this time frame… like the 16th or something, we’re gonna go for a 2-day event… now im thinking that it would conflict and cut both of our numbers down… maybe i should push it back to febuary i mean that’s when we did it last/this year

i really dont wanna cut any tournament dicks or anything, and you totally have seniority on my show… what your opinion Bozac (I’m G by the way) … i should survey the scene im guessing… two pseudo-major-minors in the same month in the MW would definitely go over pretty slow and low y’know … <all unintentional allusions

i’ll prolly push back to Feb… but please gimme your input man, and we should see about collaborating as well… most of us (me included) love GG here in Indy and we’re definitely gonna have it at the next Clutch so maybe we can crisscross some players and publicity … our game line up is looking like this; AE, UMvC3, 3S(doubles), ST, MK9 (all 5 get a pot bonus), and then GG, and a big mystery tourney, and i cant decide between KOFXIII, Tekken6, or a team tourney to round it out…

I love making trips to the Midwest so you guys will see me there.

barzaad, yea man we should work together on this one. Theres really no other date i can run it on since im only in chicago for a little over 2 weeks and 2 of the 3 weekends I am around are xmas and new years so this is the only date that works.

My birthday is day of…!

This will b my first event ever. Stoked January isn’t far at all!

Not sure how this would fly but what about for sf4 or mvc3 the tourney fee be twenty but pay top 8. This way the pots good for the winner but more people get paid. It’s a bigger event I don’t think people will miss the 10 bucks and a bigger total pot might draw some higher level players from out of town.

That is an interesting idea. I would be willing to do this but I want to hear some more opinions on this. Please speak up!

Yea I totally agreed with BP. I know that there are many people out there that are starting to adopt this method of payouts for tournaments. There are lots of players out there, even just in chicago, that consistently hit top 8, but never get anything for it. I’d be more than willing to throw in 20 bucks per game. Then again, I’m one of the guys that is usually top 8… so my view might be a little different from other players.

alright Bozac man… what kinda help you want or need? … my areas of expertise are pretty wide;

  • I can run brackets, and bring setups y’know the usual…
  • I have a gang of GG players here in Indy that’ll love to play
  • and my boy ZAP normally treks out and brings his setup known as ‘the beast’ to record matches… this entire year we’ve been going to MW tournies and setting it up to specifically record money matches… y’know a MM station… it went over well at Powerup this year… and last weekend it went over reeeeeeeeeeeeally well at Season’s Beatings … we ended up wit about 10GBs or 8 whole hours of Money matches between top players aswell as the 3S teams grand finals…

hit me with a message man, im always more than glad to help out the MW tournament scene

well I am going to at least need one person in charge of each game’s brackets so whatever you want to run is fine by me. im always a big supporter of money matches so a money match station sounds good to me. what games did you want to run on the money match station?

One of the Indy people here, I will bring a full setup; TV, PS2, GGXXAC, power strip, and a table. Also willing to run a bracket

Awsome. Thanks Astral. What game are you interested in running?

Anyone else interested in helping to run brackets?

Im always willing to help, just not 100% sure if I’m coming yet.

+1 for bigger stakes and more payout.
Let’s gooooo Chicago!

I’m pretty sure Max (CurlyW) will run brackets if he’s in town. He has a love affair with perfect brackets and seeding.

I dig the $20 per ‘recent game’ entry. $10 for MK though since most MK players are already content with back seat to those weird capcom games.

i’ll try to make it

will be entering ggxxac and sf4
