I had to face John Choi in a tourney once about 4-5 yrs ago. Last time I entered a tourney. I had never played ST before that day, entered for the hell of it. I had no idea what I was doing, but it would work. Won a round that way, got nailed the other two, but I am a scrub at ST ^_^. Just turtle, wait for the low tiger then headbutt.
I think some scrubs watch too much fight anime or kung fu movies. The protagonist is always up against some villain who spams a technique/tactic/strategy that seems unbeatable. Then the hero is about to give up when suddenly his sensei voice says “use the force” or he figures out the technique’s weakness and beats the opponent with the counter. Too bad that’s just the author jobbin’ the villain for the purposes of a story. Also, it takes 10 billion years for the villain to finish of the hero because every villain loves to gloat and prolong his prey’s agony, giving the hero time to think up the counter.
In OG SF, you have very little time during the match to reflect on what the opponent is doing. The elite players are better at it than the rest. Usually the time to come up with the counter is the time between matches by either choosing a counter-character or deciding how to alter your playstyle as you playback the matches in your mind.
Haven’t you heard? Beasting on school age kids over the internet is kewl. Seriously though 5 pages of “U SKrrrUB” in less than a day was pointless. Were there any valid points made after post x that really warrented post x4.
looks like he’s callin you a scrub…just a hunch tho
i don’t even play SF that much and i know this strat is common fuckin sense…get the fuck over it if its so damn annoying…dont fuckin watch it…nuff said
