James choi and the fire ball syndrome

You are correct sorry for being a grammer whore

Stop piling on the noob … that’s not nice.

Demon: Trust everyone here the guy is way too good for his own good. You seen his C-Ken in CvS2?

You will soon learn:
Strategy > “Fancy” EveryDay of the week!

Stop hating on Chizoi. Stop watching the match if you don’t like it. Don’t watch ST at all if you get annoyed by hella fireballs. Go to hell.

Let me break it down for you

“But to a certain extent” who decides what this extent is? Thats’ why you just play the best, if it’s “Too powerful” then it’s no the fault of the players it’s the fault of the game.

but THIS ISN"T too powerful it’s only powerful cuz you can’t find a way around it.

This isn’t a movie, tournaments aren’t designed to entertain anyone it’s about playing to win and it’s not cheap it takes skill to play keep away just like it takes skill to play rush down just cuz you can’t do it/can’t beat it doesn’t mean it’s cheap.

Again people are not playing to entertain they are playing to win and some people (like me) enjoy playing keep away so if you do too it’ll probably be fun to you.

It takes around 40 tiger shots (i would guess it might be somethign closer to 20 or 30 dunno) to kill someone all they have to do is hit you twice (depends on the character) and they can kill you (actually i’m not absolutely sure about this, but reversal throws really make sf2t a really rushdown oriented game i hear and if they land a clean jumping hk it wouldnt’ suprise me if you die from the combo that follows)

that’s like 20 to 1 odds… but anyways there are characters that can counter that, can’t sim drill on his out stretched limb or something?

Turtling/Zoning/Keepaway is NOT cheap, it may be boring to watch to some but it’s legitamite and it doesn’t make the game any less skillful at least in my own opinion.

Don’t sweat it though i guess we all ask stuff about top players at times

Dash. You aren’t bad. but you could use a little more tactical playing style.

I rest my case.

Atleast correct all of his mistakes dude.

Maybe and Too

fatherbrain: You should be given a prize for all the times you own these noobs.

Who, me?

no, the guy next to you. NICE av btw

BWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

close this stupid thread A.S.A.P.

Fatherbrain’s Gief is just cheap  :wgrin: but that’s pretty bad.

firstly i think most people took exception to the fact that you said it took no skill to do, which it obviously does, otherwise everyone would be playing o.sagat

secondly, world-class players are there to win, not to entertain you. if you have a problem with players choosing the best strategy that has the highest likelihood of securing a win, you are a scrub. fair enough if you find it boring, but blame the game for making that a viable tactic, and stop watching the matches. don’t blame the player who just exploits to game to win.

Whoever argues about fireball spamming in ST is a scrub. It should be obvious that fireball spammers get owned for free by experienced players.

anyone notice how Dash disappeared after Brain posted that pic…

I’m sure his ego was hurt. That happens when someone thinks they’re good then get beat this bad. He’s probably still in shock.

I repeat: FB’s Gief = Natural Beast

Blanka got nothin’ on that nigga.

Demon guy:

If you’re looking for a flashy game that is pretty to watch, you’re looking at the wrong game!
ST is proper basic!!! Just a few special moves and loads of normals… you hardly see any fancy shit.
Might I recommend GGXX or MVC2 instead? ^^

Also the reason everyone is telling you to go to evo (or even come to the next Absolution in London, which is closer for you) is cause you said any noob or any of us could be the best player in the world doing that… so might as well prove it. It’s not as easy as it looks, trust me!

As for fireball abuse… Balrog/Bison anyone?

Once Demon Dash got pwnd with the SS, he hasn’t shown his face in here. Hmmm…

Oh im not hiding, I went to bed. It was 1 oclock in UK when we finnished you know. I honestly didn’t know it was that hard to do. It looks hell easy when you watch it, my bad.

Like I say, I dont play ST, ever, I only play the newer ones. Most of my strategys dont work in ST as they involve UOH, crossups, RC, asists etc. GG’s FatherBrain keep up the good work, your geif’s wel tough.

Strong fundamentals from earlier games will only help you, which is why a lot of people who were good in the earlier SF games are still beast. You learn tight execution, spacing, mixups, etc. so much better from the old games, IMO.
