i smell fanfic in the making.
It’s called a movie you know the moving picture show that presents things not possible in reality as a medium of entertainment. If humans in bigass mech suits and helicopters with missiles and napalm can’t stop millions of wild beasts what difference could robots make? Also nuking Pandora would destroy the valuable resource unobtanium which defeats the purpose of going there in the first place.
Of all the dumb posts in this thread you win congrats dumbass.
They said that it’s valuable and only found on Pandora (specifically under where the Na’vi live) do you really need any more justification on it’s existence? Considering Avatar isn’t exactly very subtle with it’s pro nature anti greed message I think the name was very appropriate as well as hilarious.
hey man, think everyone pretty much corrected him at the time if you click to the next page
are people still curious why the humans lost or didn’t flex more technological muscle?
really???
as much as i love writing short stories, if it isn’t for school or work im not about to write one.
seriously people, get the survival guide if you are curious about things you felt weren’t explained enough. it does an excellent job imo.
Knowing Fox and how it ruins its franchises, expect Avatar vs Alien vs Predator in a few years. :looney:
And we should see an Avatar reboot in about two years.
Avatar just won Best Picture at the Golden Globes. I don’t really agree with that, but I’m definitely happy for it.
I’ve been thinking about Avatar, and I realized that Cam probably has the right guesstimate about humans kicking off interplanetary exploration. I don’t even think an alien invasion, or an asteroid the size of Texas heading to Earth, will be enough to really get a mankind-changing space program started. It’s gonna have to be NASA or some private company discovering a substance worth a poopload of money on Earth. The ‘space travel boom’ would throw human civilization into a Robotech or Star Trek (or whatever futuristic story you grew up watching) reality in a surprisingly short amount of time.
So I dunno, the space program’s been around for almost a century, why hasn’t anyone found something like that yet?
Because there’s no money to be made in space…yet.
It took us like 40 years to figure out how to get television in color. So space travel is still kind of a big deal.
But really, the problem is, to some degree, exactly what you described- there’s no reason for space travel. It is expensive as all shit, and it’s not like we can find gold. It’s viewed, as many people, as being a frivolous science experiment without practical merit. If there were diamonds on the moon we probably would have been back more often…but outer space is just an art museum, and not a Wal-Mart. So…
Once oil is found to be naturally occuring on other planets, its GGPO universe; here we come.
Thing is, i doubt god made it possible to where other aliens or lifeforms from other planets can interact with us. Besides, i think that god wanted us to be isolated from other beings in the universe as some sort of experiment. Or something along the lines of that, that might be possible.
Another possibility is that aliens created us. They planted us like seeds here for some kind of experiment, or entertainment?
(he’s trolling)
Does it explain why the metal ore is just so freakin’ special? What is that shit supposed to be, weapons-grade adamantium with vibranium properties?
i swear he made the precious material just to tell people hes against the war in iraq. maybe its some fuel source.
nope, Titanic
Yeh your friend is an idiot, tries to come across very intellectual but at the end of the day he says liked the guns & explosions. Going to read your review later.

Just a month too, and probably next week, no more Titanic!!
So yeah he is still the King of the World.
