1st off, when I left the theatre and went outside, stared at the sunset and realized something…
REAL LIFE FUCKIN’ SUCKS!:arazz:
All the vibrancy and color in the film was just beyond words…
THE COLORS DUKE! THE COLORS!!!
[details=Spoiler]
Pros-
-The CG was the most amazing thing I have ever seen anywhere! There were many points in the film where I couldn’t differentiate between the CG and the actual film. Jake Sully atrophied limbs, the foliage, everything.
The scene where the sea spray was hitting the cliffs blew me away. I couldn’t tell that it was fake at all!!!:wow:
-The details in the creatures as well as the brilliance in their anatomical design astounded me. Minor differences in the hybrid Na’vi and real Na’vi like separation of toes added to the believability. I also loved how the kept up with continuity with the “poisonous” atmosphere, like with the final scene with the Colonel.
-Colonel made a good nemesis. His final battle was quite hardcore and was a pretty smart sendoff.
-USB port ponytails and their integration was sooooo good.
-Solid, albeit semi-predictable story didn’t detract from the scope of the world and the message.
-Many cultural references like the Somoan “sharing of breath” and African/Native American philosophies made the Na’vi very like-able.
Cons-
-I know Cameron’s story was highly edited, due to time constraints, but I still wanted to know how the humans found this planet, the year they were in, and what happened to the earth exactly.
-The huge number of furry porn and AVs that will over-saturate the web next year. :bluu: :lame:[/details]
Lastly, I lmaoed at the mention of “Unobtainium.” I wonder if James Cameron watched that awful insert name of movie here and used this as an inside joke?
