So I may or may not see this movie, but can someone just tell me how they explain Arnold’s aging?

He was sent back a really long time ago, and he’s outer skin just ages naturally. During the movie, you see him kinda knock some of his joints back in place. Prepare to get even more fucked, when you realize he ages about 30+ years in the movie, as well. So yeah, there are like 3 different aged Arnold’s in this movie…
80’s Arnold looked incredible. I can see them just using that forever after he dies, I shit you not. He probably has recorded an entire dictionary of his vernacular for them to use.
If you’ve ever watched a Doctor Who episode, you will likely enjoy this movie at least for what it is.
The skin is real flesh so it ages.

If you enjoyed the first two, then yes. Story features more time travel than some people are used to. If you have ever watched Doctor Who, this movie will make sense, and be right up your alley.
The second time travel section was lame imo. Very much felt like they just couldn’t be fucked to make the rest of the movie look like 84 LA. The social commentary behind genisys was a bit hamfisted too.
other complaints too but I still had a decent time since I had low expectations.
Saw this today along with Ant man. I really enjoyed it which kind of surprised me.
Saw the movie a few weeks ago, its not bad this movie had so much potential to great. Kelisi being casted as Sarah Connor was a poor choice, she just doesn’t have the acting chops for the role. I just sat there wishing Lena Headey had reprised the role because she was amazing in TV series (which I need to go back and rewatch).
Minus the whole Skynet is an OS now I really liked the plot, Arnie was great but yeh they should have explained who the fuck sent Arnie back in the first place, I think that would have been a better story to follow.

I was on board with the idea that the T800 after 12 years had developed an emotional attachment, but the crying at the end was overkill, I just facepalmed.
J.K. Simmons being in this movie was totally pointless, is he strapped for cash or something because an actor of his calibre shouldn’t be casted in such minor roles.
Shit, they should have just slapped some lipstick on him and put him in a skirt and let him play Sarah Connor whilst Emilia Clarke played the cop.
I don’t see how they can continue this franchise. it would literally have to be some bullshit on the same level between 2 and 3. Somehow source code was salvaged from the wreckage.
They should just stop and leave it at this.

Furious One, JK was in this movie, because he was in the first movie. Hence why he is remembering another timeline. He probably has an important role to play in the rest of the trilogy.
They fucked up by not explaining who sent back Pops, but I’m assuming that’s a big spoiler they are saving for later. My money is on Linda Hamilton Sarah Connor from the future sending him back, seeing as she lives on, in this timeline.
What hurt this movie was the shitty trailer spoilers, and the fact it was written like a shortened season of a TV show, instead of a movie.
I still enjoyed it enough to want to see the next two movies.
I get the feeling they will just use CGI Arnold’s in the future, when he dies or retires, to keep the franchise going.
They’ll save that reveal for the next movie’s trailer, serious what are these guys smoking ruining the big plot twists in trailers. EVERYTIME!!
Its probably the good skynet A.I from Sarah Connor Chronicles. We never did find out what happened to it (I suspect its a future version of Skynet that regrets what it did or has learnt to feel human).

I found it odd that the personification of Skynet was a T 5000, yet it’s been established there was a T 1000000.

And special effects were the best in terminator 2. The special effects of that movie HAVE NOT BEEN TOPPED. Either se looks way out of place, or movies in general have this fucked up in a game color thing going on to make se looks less shitty. T2jd didn’t need any of that and it looked fucking great. Still by far the greatest accomplishment of special effects to date.
Also t1 and t2 had that old school violence and gore. Action movies nowadays are all bitchmade, even the better/good ones. Mmmmmmm, the way arni cut open his arm and ripped off the flesh to expose the terminator arm, delicious. The t1000 impaling motherfuckers, too good. The club scene and police station scenes in t1 are too fucking gdlk.
Also to me there never was a clear winner between t1 and 2. Even back when 2 just got released and everyone I knew was shitting on 1, to me 2 was never better. Predator 2 while enjoyable is not as good as 1. T1 and 2 are both predator 1 level.

the same cop is connecting events from the original 1984 timeline within the altered one (2017) as it comes from the same root timeline.
JK was never in the original film.
