James Bond: Skyfall - Mother was very bad

It was a solid 4/10 definitely wouldn’t watch it again. Bond girl was in it for a good 10min, villain was terrible if he was as good as bond how did he die so easily the last fight scene was wambam done. Even the plot was terrible, it was like they just threw shit together and made it a storyline to get easy cash from saps.

Whoa, whoa… WHOA.

WHOA.

Let’s not tread on blasphemous ground here… nothing tops MGS3’s. Not even Skyfall’s.

How was the plot terrible, exactly?

I ask, because people always criticize the “plot” in movies, yet they rarely explain just what they mean by that.

I’D GIVE MY LIIIIIIIIFEEEE
NOT FOR HONORRRR
BUT FORRR YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Now I have to fucking listen to it on Youtube…

Kill yourself

Good movie. Shame it didn’t expand on the ongoing plot but was needed to setup the characters for future films.

Is that the only rebuttal you could come up with? why not dispute the things i just said with actual solid evidence. How long was the bond girl in the freakin movie from what i saw like 15min max before she got shot in the head for free. Villain was a fag he wasn’t even cool or interesting, the guy goes through all of this trouble to save M yet she dies anyway? LOL

you’re a fucking moron.

they made bond a person in casino, revenge is a trait 007 doesnt do.

No, YOU’RE a fucking moron.

First off why don’t you show some respect by hiding those spoilers for people who might not have seen the movie.

Secondly, your only excuse to have a beef with this movie so far is because one of the characters gets a small amount of screen time? She wasn’t necessarily a huge plot-progressive character to begin with.

Finally this is on top of the fact that you seem to just be shitting on the movie with random bullshit points that you have yet to explain the logic behind (assuming there is any), probably just to be “that guy” because you have nothing better to do.

Troll harder, kid. :coffee:

**Plot: **is a literary term defined as the events that make up a story, particularly as they relate to one another in a pattern, in a sequence, through cause and effect, how the reader views the story, or simply by coincidence.

The storyline was not captivating nor was it coherent, if you think this movie is good i guarantee this shit won’t win a award. It’s not even memorable either, i’ve basically already forgot most of the entire movie cause it was that bad. Judging by the audience at my theater some people left EARLY, i’m not even trolling about that. People got up and left before the movie was finished. Maybe it’s because i only watch good movies, i don’t watch a ton of garbage so i’m not desensitized by a long intro with a decent song.

Your evidence here is irrelevant. Story, not tradition, dictates how long characters are around.

Translation: “The villain was bad, but I don’t have anything substantial to say about it, so I’ll throw in the usual euphemisms that people use when they have nothing to say.” Your evidence here is nonexistence.

This statement not only doesn’t qualify as evidence, but doesn’t even make an intrinsic point. It’s possible that you hit the “post” button before you were done writing, but somehow I don’t think you did.

No evidence here.

Nor here.

This is a tacit admission of having no evidence to back up your assertions, veiled as an excuse.

Maybe they had to pee. Maybe they were taking a phone call. Maybe they were morons. Why do people try to make their opinions about movies seem more valid by trying to infer the opinions of other people in the audience?

You watched this one. If we’re to buy into the circular statement you just made, Skyfall must be good.

It’s funny that you think you opinion has any validity or relevance when you still provide no explanation as to the reasoning of it.

I preferred this over casino royale, casino royale was too removed from what I had grown accustomed too for me to truly accept it(despite being a good movie in its own right), whilst this was a nice balance between the gritty daniel craig bond while still having some nice references to the old bonds and also introducing a lot of the characters that make up the franchise. I also feel casino royale suffered from a mediocre main villain who somehow managed to get himself killed before the final act(prolly a first for bond villains) and on the other end of the spectrum you had a very well designed villain in silva, terrifying but understandable. Plus Q and moneypenny were both well worth the wait, and the goldeneye reference had me smiling in the cinema, can’t wait to see what other gadgets he hooks bond up with in the next movies, speaking of which, I loved how while they reintroduced gadgets, they kept them grounded and realistic, looking forward to where they go with that.

Sick movie, plus the ending actually caught me off guard although it was kinda foreshadowed.

… I know good movies. 1st Matrix, Inception, pulp fiction etc

I only watch good movies refers to multiple times, most normal people watch new movies. You don’t know if it’s good or bad until you actually see the movie, after actually seeing the movie it’s not good. Its just my opinion ofc, nor do i really care what you guys think about it i enjoy facts though. Skyfall has only grossed $669,237,108 worldwide.

Thats pretty damn low for a heavy hitter movie like you guys claim. Check please.

Skyfall is doing very well. Just a quick wiki puts it at highest grossing Bond ever in the UK and highest grossing opener for a Bond film in the US

All high-grossing movies in high positions on the IMDB top 250. All this demonstrates about your taste is that your idea of “good movies” is no more discriminating than most people’s.

And there it is, folks. His argument has broken down completely.

If you’re asking for your check, can I assume that your next move will be to leave the thread?

Sup,

Before I watch this I need to know, as I didn’t follow any pre-release hype or news, which car Bond drives? The Bond movies have always been as much about the cars as it has the bond girls, the gadgets, the martinis, etc. Hopefully he’s still cruisin’ in Aston Martins. Any Bond film with Astons in it is

Casino Royale flipping the DBS 7 times = GDLK moment and I was glad they brought them back. It was a dark time during the 90s Bonds when they turned 007 into a yuppie and gave him BMWs.

Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted P/DW $216,391,482 LOL madagascar > skyfall.

I don’t want to spoil it for you (and I hope nobody else does), but I think you’ll be pleased.

Nobody but you is making an argument based on Skyfall’s box office earnings. All you’re doing here is proving for the third or fourth time that you have nothing to say about the movie itself.

I am actually starting to feel embarrassed for you at this point.

did anybody feel Silvia was almost justified? I did

lol at box numbers meaning shit. GTFO
