yea i think it’s a good idea to just go ahead and post it for 2 weeks too cause i might not be able to make it too and i really want to go to this,plus im gonna be there for the whole weekend neways so we can always do casuals at the hotel room if anyone’s interested.
Okay, so far I got some confirmations on postponing this thing. I’m still gonna’ wait until Monday (9/25/06) for the rest of the members to vote but I think this will be better off in the long run. Thanks for your response and patience, guys. I really do appreciate it.
hey jason if u need help with anything just let me know and also i was thinking bout maybe making a dvd for this thing tell me wut u think.if enough ppl are interested in a dvd i can make a pretty good one with good quality,only thing is that it’s gonna cost me money and time not to mention all the recording at the tourney but if enough ppl are interested i can make them and sell them to the players and anyone else interested for 10 bucks a dvd.don’t worry it’s gonna have a case with a cover and everything.so i don’t know just tell me wut u think bout the idea and anyone else that’s interested give ur opinions on this.

well ya go ahead and get the venue thing settle and like i said im gonna bring 2 dv camcorders with tripods and plenty of tapes for tourney and casual/money matches recording.one camera is gonna be for marvel and marvel only:wgrin: and the other for 3rd and ggxx.since marvel is gonna be the biggest and it’s gonna have the most casual/mm plays im gonna have a cam over on that section at all times.if i get enough good footage for marvel then im just gonna do a dvd for marvel only and do another for 3rd and ggxx.we’ll see…
Hey HEY! Here is some good news. My friend Christy has got it set up for us.
The new location(so long as its cool with Jason):
The Pearl nightclub at first & main downtown.
-plenty of parking
-3 Projector screens already set up
-Projectors
-Plenty of built-in seating
-Bar with beer, wine, soda, etc.
-Sound system, full control of audio
-Large Back Porch for grilling, catering stuff.
-on the fringe of downtown, close proximity to “Jankins” barbecue.
We can go from 10-11am till 9 or 10, (bar opening time)
If I werent at work, I’d send you a link to the myspace page. this club is KooKoo bananas awesome and christy says she is down for anything. I also have the support of the sound/video guy Jeron (VJ Jeron) and my friend spencer.
We can keep the date, no need to cancel plane tickets. Looks like we have enough equipment to set it up and get it done right.

K, the Pearl is where this thing will be held, and we can’t postpone it.
I’ve had a few people working on securing equipment to get this thing going, and we can’t get a venue of this calibre on any date other than the seventh.
The schedule will be the same as I mentioned above. We still need as many TVs as you guys can bring, so please, if you can, bring some equipment. I’m taking care of all the booking fees, and as much food as I can afford. I’m doing local promotions as well, so I’m hoping for a big turnout.
Later, after the bar is open, and the tourney is over, I’m working on setting up free play Guitar Hero and another local competition for that. (LATER INTHE NIGHT) All of you guys who are staying over night, I’d like to encourage you to stick around for the party that goes on after the tourney. If you pay a tourney entry fee for even just one game, you don’t have to pay to stay.
