Adam, first off, in no way did I mean to disrespect you and you’re correct on the fact that I don’t even know you; but from your very first post in here, you kinda’ came off like you had a stick up your ass because for one, you didn’t understand why I was doing it this way (which was because the last time I had held a tourney, practically nobody showed up) and two, understanding the fact that it would change if I got certain number of people attending for sure.
As in relevance to the other posts about having CvS2 as a tourney, all of this was answered when I posted “depending on sign-ups” section which virtually everyone understood from my perspective. Your thing was “either have the tourney or not” sounding like you wanted an answer right then and there if there was a tourney. Maybe this was an ass-backwards way of doing it or whatever but I still tried working this out. Personally, I still don’t know what you’re talking about when you said I’m putting a spin on words or trying to fabricate a difference between them so enlighten me.
Now about the “yap to my friends about you behind your back like a little bitch” part; I clearly posted in my city forum which I was entitled to and then you happened to come in there and find what I wrote. If it was so-called “behind your back”, it wouldn’t have been posted and you would have heard from so-and-so that I said shit about you and so-on and so-on. Please don’t make it seem like I was trying to keep it lokey and not tell you personally because that is not the case. The fact of the matter is posting my thoughts of your childish acts in the T&E forums serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever whereas in the the regional section, I can post whatever I felt like at the time and it wouldn’t be a big deal. The funny thing is that you quoted me and not Kenzilla (who also posted in Jacksonville) who also had something to say so it’s making me think it’s something more personal. Also, it’s not like I called you a dick or an asshole or anything like that in particular. I just indirectly called you a crybaby because of the way you came in here posting. I highly doubt that you’re mean person in reality so me going overboard and judging you beforehand would’ve been downright ridiculous.
But all in all, I seriously apologize for the wrong I’ve done in disrespecting you in any way. I can’t take back what I’ve said but I can make a fresh new start from here on out and make peace with you. I only posted all of the above to show you where I was coming from like you did in response; not to belittle you or prove stupid shit like “I’m better than you” nonsense. I still hope you come not 'cause of me, but because of the comp. for the games you play. If not, then I’ll possibly see you in the future. I personally don’t play CvS2 but I still like watching.

Updated. Here is the deal guys. Sorry it’s taking so long on getting a ‘set’ location going but the ones we opted to go with didn’t fall through. So for an actual location as of NOW will most likely be at Tilt in Regency Square Mall. The problem with this is that since it’s a mall, we would have to start the tournament as early as possible so it all can be done with by 9pm and with only about 3 or so tv’s, that’s gonna’ be highly unlikely.
The other option is to postpone the date a week or two so we can get a better spot with longer hours (like till 3am) so we can run the tournament more smoothly.
So right now as it stands, it will most likely be at the Tilt but I need to know if it’s okay with you guys to postpone it a bit or would you like to leave the date as it stands? Please let me know by the Monday (9/25/06) at the latest. I understand some of you already requested off work and probably booked a flight here but if it’s too much of a problem, I can understand completely.

if we have it at tilt, some of those games have got to go. 1. not enough room 2. not enough tv’s.
if its at tilt cvs2 has got to go. Its just going to hog up time and tv’s we dont have to spare. Drop some games and we can have casuals and tourney at the same time instead of trying to run 5 tournies on 3 tv’s. There will virtually be no casual play time if all those games are going to be ran during the tourney. not ony that but we have more games than tv’s. :wasted:
so 1) there has to be more tv’s to run all those tournies or drop some games
or 2) postpone it till a more suitable place is found.
I vote for having it at tilt and dropping games.

Anyway, I may be able to bring a TV and calm may be able to bring one. If you need them let me know, as I will be returning from a business trip the day before and I would need to fly into Orlando instead of J-ville as I’m currently contemplating.
So here is the tentative schedule. I believe the mall opens at 9, so we will need have people there at or near that time, or at least a good bit before their scheduled events. Well have a players meeting and signup at about 9:30 or so. We will go over rules and prize structures then.
We’ll start off with alpha 3, which may last about 30-45 minutes at the MOST with everyone doing 2 out of 3 and brackets. So far there have been 7 people signed up for that, which may not take long.
Then we will get into CvS2, which may last about an hour or so. We have 14 entrants so far.
Next is GG slash, which has 13 entrants. this will probably start around lunchtime. After this, we can have lunch and casuals for a short while.
The Big event that comes next is Marvel Vs Capcom 2. We have 24 people signed up so far, that means all TVs will have to be running marvel if we are doing 2 out of 3 matches and losers brackets.
Lastly, we have 3rd Strike with 20 entrants, this will be the final event and after this, prizes will be decided, and its casuals for the rest of the night, till the venue needs us to leave. The more TVs we have the smoother and faster this will run, so please try to bring in a TV if you have one.
If you have questions about the scheduling or have issues, please direct them to me, so I can organize accordingly. I want everyone to be able to play, and I want everyone to be able to stay as long as possible and have a good time, and I’m sure Jason feels the same way.
If we HAVE to drop a game, it will have to be the game with the least amount of entrants or interest. I don’t think it will come to that but if so, we’ll do it. Realistically, I’m not sure that all 38 people signed up will show.
Adam, if you guys can bring 2 TVs that would be awesome. I’m still trying to get this at a bigger/better venue, unfortunately till I finalize the deal, we’ll default to tilt, which was the plan originally anyway.

Jason: this is the layout of the place I was talking about.
That place would be more suitable if it can be there, however, what you stated it in your previous post sounds like a plan to me and I’m down with that.
