J.Wong vs Daigo

hahahah yeah ive been to quite a number of tourneys in japan and they make noise alright. especially that last SBO spot qualifiers, the crowd was hyping the shit out of every hit the guy they support managed to land, EVERY SINGLE HIT.

and they werent sitting far away or anything, but exactly surrounding the player (yes its distracting alright)… cheering/yelling/hyping etc is just natural during a competitive events especially if its done by a group of people supporting a side.

Front page of http://www.getyourtournament.com justin gets interviewed right after the finals. He talks about using the unsafe TAP and daigo not expecting it. Daigo is not going to continue his matches without evaluting an unknown variable. So her started testing justin.

:wtf:

So who did Gootecks lose to in the losers bracket?

Funny how the game turned to hit confirming supers instead of Ultra setups. Goes to show the respect they have for each other as far as punishing mistakes goes.

But damn Wong surprised me, I had never seen his Balrog till tonight, dude is right up there with Daigo imo, just damn it was sickness.

I wonder how he’ll fare against other top Japanese players, I wish Mago was at EVO this year.

Yes, many of us do remember this. He said that on the first episode after the Gamestop finals. In Street Fighter IV time, though, that was EONS ago. A lot can/has changed since then. If I recall correctly, even then the statement was a bit of a maybe.

Justin had definitely been saying other things for the past few months (like Abel and Sagat), and I don’t think he’d (publicly) mentioned Balrog since that one time to anybody.

Keits is a super regular on Alpha-ISM, and Skisonic was such a regular that he runs the damn thing now, and they were both on the mic commentating for the stream, and to me they seemed a little surprised by Balrog.

If anything, people should not have been (too) surprised simply because Justin plays so many characters at a high level of proficiency… but of course the actual choice is always exciting to see!

Show me a post here that reeks of Daigo cock sucking. Show me a post where people have said Justin didn’t play well or w/e. Oh that’s right, there is no post like that. Shut your fucking mouth you little faggot tool. Justin played extremely well and everyone knows that.

lol at japanese not getting hyped. i must admit that a lot of japanese cats try to give off that “i’m too cool” aura but there people who def get hyped at tourneys or even just at casuals at the arcade.

not SF related but i caught this earlier this morning, disrupt a japanese chics hype at a baseball game and watch your kid get slapped lol

If you looked closely, I was talking to all the people who claimed Daigo simply threw away the matches he lost against Wong within this thread. Did you bother to read them all? Go back and you can quote a few of them, which is horse shit, that’s why I stated “cock sucking”…how in the hell do you claim Daigo was purposely throwing out matches to make the finals more exciting against Wong? If those shit statements aren’t cock riding then I don’t know wtf else is.

o my bad, no id dint read all of your post tbh.

I don’t think it was cock sucking as much as sheer fucking stupidity. Why the fuck would anyone do that when there’s 7g on the line?

Balrog was an okay choice, Personally wong should have gone with sagat for the first few rounds and played it out see how it went then maybe surprised daigo with the balrog ending with a win, But i enjoyed the match 2 great fighters just not the desired outcome i was wanting, I was wanting to see Wong reign in the champ position again for a bit.

Word. Justin really brought it this year, and that’s all there is to it.

The fight he brought against Daigo was ferocious to the point where it could have easily gone in his favor. There’s a lot of luck and guessing in SF.

I wanted to see Wong do a dash Ultra to punish fireballs like Eduardo did against Valle. That shit was on point.

Kai aka Happytang the El Fuerte player eliminated “Throwtecks”… who then got eliminated by SIN the Rufus/Dictator player

This. I figured he was gonna pull it out in one of the later matches.

Daigo has plenty of experience with great Sagats (e.g., Mago) and I’m sure Justin knows this

Justin has a pretty unique sagat gameplay though

Awesome grand finals, they really lived up to the hype!
The Beast Daigo took it in the end, but Justin Wong deserves helluva props as he just shut up whoever was saying that daigo owns him for free after the gamestop tournament. Wong’s Boxer actually raped Daigo in the first two games before he could start to adapt! And while Daigo took the championship and the 7000$ prize, Justin’s boxer actually beat Daigo’s Ryu 5-4 in the total count… but a DE tournament doesn’t work like that. Grand finals were really a GREAT show as both Daigo and Justin pulled out an extremely fast game with lots of pressure mixups and mindgames along with great footises on both sides!

:wtf:

I’ve actually never seen Justin’s Sagat. You have any footage? This isnt some sarcastic flame post, I’m actually really interested if you say he has a unique Sagat gameplay, so I want to see where that assumption came from.
