I never really got the impression that people believe daigo is unbeatable, but I do get the impression that alot of people believe that if mago or other top japanese players would come here that everyone would be “free” and they would take this tournament, that right there is being a fanboy.

Daigo traveled halfway across the world for a challenge. To win evo 2k9.
He beat the best from the USA in an epic grand finals, got his Ryu trophy, got his check, and slung his blue fanny pack over his shoulder and walked off into the sunset.

I know “cheap” does not exists anymore in Street Fighter terms. But man. that Daigo is a cheap guy. I’ve seen his videos. Jab, jab, jab … throw. One more time, and again. He is not “magical” he lacks skill.

Daigo is good because he knows how to play Ryu inside out (no pun intended) better than any other Ryu player. Plus he also knows ALL matchups like the back of his hand and has all knowledge of the other characters loopholes.
Why don’t you go to Evo next year and win the championship if you can do better. Oh is Daigo not doing enoug COMOBZ for you? Learn the meaning of spacing, zoning and footsies, and do it as good as Daigo does, and get back with me. Newbies all over the fucking place.

There are several, and I’m pretty sure Justin Wong knows them all. However Daigo played so well, that I’m sure JWong was shaken and possibly got thrown. Daigo spacing and pokes were so precise, that he had trained Justin to stand there and get thrown. Daigo had to be doing something to get Justin trained to that point. Street Fighter is never about what is being done, but why it’s being done. But why am I talking. Get on a plane to Vegas next year and go ahead choose Ryu and hit jab, jab, throw and see how far that will get you. Scrubs the audacity.
